From reading that, it sounds like he is leaving on his own, rather than being let go by NBC.

I wouldn't read it that way. It's simply a "nice" and "professional" way of saying goodbye. Usually if a person leaves by choice, they state it explicitly. The way he phrased his statement is just a nice, neutral way of saying that he was let go.

Well, like I said in my post above, NBC is destroying The Weather Channel. 

I don't think we should be blaming NBC so much for this.

Those Apple “Genius” ads that premiered during the opening ceremony of the London Olympics. I saw one on the Internet, and it was smug, not funny, and just plain awful. Thankfully, Apple pulled the ads not long after they came out.

Some state organization runs a disaster awareness PSA in which the announcer is in a house where, in the background, a woman is running around, screaming her head off. She keeps screaming until the end, when she runs into a wall and knocks herself out.

I've been using Chrome on my iPod since the iOS version of the browser first came out, which convinced me to switch to Chrome on the Mac. I could no longer stand Safari's slow performance (both on the Mac and iOS).
