THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PHOENIX HAS ISSUED A WIND ADVISORY...
WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM TO 6 PM MST SATURDAY.
A STRONG LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL TAKE SHAPE OVER THE WESTERN STATES
THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. THIS SYSTEM WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR CREATING
STRONG AND GUSTY WINDS BY LATE SATURDAY MORNING AND CONTINUING
THROUGH THE AFTERNOON HOURS. WEST WINDS WILL INCREASE BY AFTERNOON
TO BETWEEN 20 AND 30 MPH WITH SOME GUSTS TO OVER 40 MPH POSSIBLE.
A WIND ADVISORY MEANS THAT SUSTAINED WIND SPEEDS OF BETWEEN 30 AND 40
MPH ARE EXPECTED...OR WIND GUSTS OF BETWEEN 40 AND 58 MPH. WINDS THIS
STRONG CAN MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT...ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH PROFILE
VEHICLES. IN ADDITION...STRONG WINDS OVER DESERT AREAS COULD RESULT
IN BRIEFLY LOWERED VISIBILITIES TO WELL UNDER A MILE AT TIMES IN
BLOWING DUST OR BLOWING SAND. USE EXTRA CAUTION.
