When did WUWA change their opener and narration for it?

June 23rd. For quite a while leading up to that day, they had dumped the original opener and were just opening every show with no opener, just a wideshot of the New York studio and a narration, "This is Wake Up with Al, on The Weather Channel!"

Just to clarify, you photoshopped the LDL in, right? I have a feeling that it really didn't air when those pics were taken... Correct me if I'm wrong.

Samantha Mohr and Todd Santos on WC!

wow. Someone's excited to see both Sam and Todd in studio today. :P
Two of my least favorite OCM's currently at TWC. :P
That's why we love them!

OCMs & Personalities / Re: New OCM - Eric Fisher (?)

He's another newbie. At this rate, I wouldn't be surprised if Warren Madden and Ryan Goswick are indeed gone as they were rumored to be. NBC is just adding new OCMs by the week at this point. Heck, maybe some other veteran OCMs will be out the door soon, as well.

OCMs & Personalities / Re: OCM Layoffs
« on: July 05, 2010, 09:52:42 PM »
Here's how I see the whole situation. These older OCMs aren't going to be around forever. While I don't think NBC will lay anyone off anytime soon, I believe a few OCMs will retire in the next few years, so they need new talent now to learn the ropes at TWC now so they will be ready in a few years to replace the older OCMs.
Well, I was totally wrong, then.
Not necessarily, the layoffs had already happened before you posted that. :fear:

The originally scheduled premiere on July 12th has been scratched from the schedule, which means it will be at least another week later. These constant postponements are getting annoying.

I turned on TWC at 6:10 ET only to find the LF just beginning (no clue why). The LF was followed by a TWC sponsor ad, then the emergency feed came on immediately after that and stayed on for less than 30 seconds. Then they aired a few commercials before cuing up a 1:30 LF at 6:14 ET. The Weekly Planner then came on at 6:16, and that's what's on right now.

(Update: They ran a really long "something" block at 6:20 to get back on schedule.)

No HD LDL or LDA at all on FO today. The blank LDA box keeps sliding in at the start of every segment, but they quickly remove it. Now, at the bottom of the hour, this appeared:
