He's been on YWT every day this week and last week, IIRC. He started on YWT by only doing Storm Tracker segments from the old studio area maybe twice per hour, but as of this week, he's moved back into the HD studio and now plays pretty much the same role he played during the final year and a half of Evening Edition, which basically means he's like a third host.

I think we need a topic dedicated to the one and only Ricky Bell of the FAA. It's a shame that most of you never get to see him because he's only on at 6:40 AM ET, but I think you guys need some videos of him so you too can see the masterful performance that Ricky Bell gives us every Wednesday through Friday morning on The Weather Channel. Certainly no one updates weather's impacts on airports better than my hero Mr. Bell.

Bill Keneely's doing daytime weather.com. That's a bit odd. :\

AFAIK, they were split into two segments for all shows starting with the 2003 relaunch. Then in May 2007, they changed DP, WC, PME, A&B, and WO to have the extended segment at :20 and :50 again. A&B switched back to the split-segment format in May 2008 just before the relaunch.

Everything Else TWC / Re: Another Green is Universal Week next week
« on: April 13, 2009, 05:57:18 PM »
Looking at the Zap2It guide, there are going to be two original shows next week called "Green is Universal". One will air at 2PM ET Monday, and the other will air at the same time on Tuesday. The rest of the week (including the bottom of the long-form hours on Monday and Tuesday) will feature repeats of Forecast Earth except for one episode of Weather Ventures that will air on Wednesday.

...and at the same time, they launched this new logo for the satellite STARs:

The LF is back, and with it comes yet another new Local on the 8s logo for the DISH (and presumably DirecTV) STAR. It's a bit of a departure from the current logo. I'll post a pic in the General LF Discussion thread in a minute.

Overnight: PME graphics and EE lower thirds during Weather Center!?

I now hear that it indeed became PME. But if it's PME, use the PME lower thirds!

Those L3s go by time of day, not show.
