General Discussion / Re: The Pot Belly Stove

My school district purchases their own buses, and they purchase around 40-50-ish buses per year (though for the most part it's closer to 40). Our buses have a fairly simple numbering procedure, the number is in the format of the number of the bus that was purchased that year, and then the year that that bus was purchased. I.E, a bus that was purchased in 2003 and was the eighth bus purchased that year, it's number would be 8-03 (which just so happens to be the bus I ride to school).

I could've sworn we've discussed this here before...
We probably have; I was half asleep when I posted that. :P

Also on the EEAD rebroadcast, the TWC HD logo from the HD feed is showing up behind the logo on the SD feed. Apparently the HD feed is rebroadcast to both HD and SD.

TWC Today News / Re: Bring TWC to TWC Today!!
« on: September 20, 2008, 09:24:12 PM »
I fully believe that The Weather Channel is an excellent source for weather news and information 24/7. For us weather geeks (like me), it's like heaven. :twothumbs: There are many, many people out there that feel the same way about TWC, and that was the very reason that TWC Today was created. To provide a community for TWC lovers and TWC content that you can't find anywhere else on the web. Ever since TWC Today's inception in 2007, it has blossomed into an outstanding TWC fan site, and as one of the forum's co-administrators, I could not be more proud of it. B) I (as I'm sure with many other people), would love for TWC to come here. I believe TWC should realize (and AFAIK they are aware of that even already) that people out there enjoy the weather very much, and depend on TWC for their weather information. And there are people out there that are into much more than the weather information, such as the local forecast WeatherStar technology, and the music heard on the local forecast. There are also people out there who enjoy TWC so much that they design fan art based on it! (Check the TWC Fan Art section of this message board) If that doesn't show love for The Weather Channel, what does?

In any case, The Weather Channel really needed a unique community for it's fans, and I strongly believe that TWC Today has made that happen. :)

Everything Else TWC / Re: New standardized teaser format?
« on: September 20, 2008, 08:11:54 PM »
That doesn't even make sense because PME is supposed to be a "daytime" show given the show's other graphics and set colors...
That's true. Though I'd consider the weekend edition of the show to be an "evening" show since it's on later.

General Discussion / Re: Some jackass had enough nerve to rip my video!
« on: September 20, 2008, 08:09:05 PM »
I've uploaded a song by The Rippingtons, and I didn't get a notice (yet, at least).
Well, that didn't last too long. :P I got a copyright notice today (but not for the video I was referring to in the quoted post) right after I uploaded a 4000 emulator clip with a Joe Sample song. Not a big deal though, since it only resulted in ads being displayed (which can easily be fixed if you have Firefox :whistling:).

They just used the evening version of the new teaser format at the top of the 5 PM CT hour. I like them!

idk, maybe they could satisfy everyone by playing a bit of both?
Hearing vocal music on TWC at any time is enough to make my head implode. :P

He was solo last night too.

OCMs & Personalities / Re: Adam Berg
« on: September 17, 2008, 10:19:14 PM »
At school today, my math teacher actually said "let's jump right in there" during class today. Of course, it's not exactly the same as "DIVING" right in there, but I suppose it's close enough. :P

She's also said some various "let's do that" phrases in the past few weeks as well. Coincidence? :ninja:

Weekend Planner was the only TWC studio show this decade so far to originate from only one studio (1A). Just a thought.
And Afternoon Outlook and Overnight Outlook. :P

General Discussion / Re: YouTube Warning
« on: September 16, 2008, 08:54:26 PM »
The guy the folks at TWCC are accusing of taking this latest video is, I believe, Alex. And I don't think he's taking people's videos.

What I read at TWCC was that Alex was a victim, not the theif.

UPDATE:
New video stolen with a twc clip in the background.

Looks like you may have misread that post (if that's what you were talking about). He was saying the emulator part of that clip belonged to Alex, not that the theif of the video was Alex. ;)
