Why are the transparent PNGs coming up black on powerpoint? I thought only mspaint did that =/ Have you tried throwing the background images together in GIMP or Photoshop then throwing them into powerpoint? Just a thought... Otherwise looks good!
They'll need to be resaved as a .PNG in a program such as GIMP in order for them to appear properly in PowerPoint.

They had alternate music playing over the Weekend Now Intro.
No, that was by accident. For some reason on Weekend Now (and I've noticed this on PM Edition lately as well) they don't play the opener music very often, and instead, just continue the music they used for the teaser over the opener.

It's beginning to feel like fall in the area. High temps are in a comfortable 70-ish degrees, and we've been seeing some rather cool nights lately. Tonight, the temperatures are expected to dive in (no, I'm not Adam Berg :P) to the 40s! :o

All it was just showing on the screen was PM EDITION rather than this. Courtesy Spring Rubber

Did you capture what you saw? The opener at the top of the 5 PM CT hour was normal.

Oh OK but his last name wouldn't change if he was married?
Nope. The only person's last name that would change in a marriage would be the female. ;)
