That kind of problem usually isn't automatic. It usually develops and worsens over time.
Yeah, but why would it suddenly start with the new modem?

We unplugged it from the phone jack. But still, I think the phone is about 10 ft away from the modem, so I don't know.
Oh, and to add to that, back in January when we first got the Wireless modem, we had no problems, and the phone was at the exact same spot as it is now.

I'll repaste me.  Just pretend to laugh if you already read it to keep the thread going :P

What I did find hilarious was a story a friend told me the other day.  She remembers honking the horn because someone had cut her off, but the car was so crappy that the horn didn't stop sounding, so she had to drive all the way home with the horn blaring BEEEP.
I think I've heard that joke before, I just can't remember where. :P

Comcast and Cox?  What kind of a choice is that?  You might as well choose between a nice ripe apple or dog :censored:
LOL, that's true. But I'm sure most people have chosen Cox. ;)

Steve, did you actually unplug the phone from the electrical outlet?  Or just the phone jack?
We unplugged it from the phone jack. But still, I think the phone is about 10 ft away from the modem, so I don't know.

Wait, how can the phone be causing interference? Because even if we have the phone unplugged, it still goes down.

Well, it's kind of too late to tell my parents that now since we're pretty much stuck on the fact that we're switching to Cable. I'll be sure to tell them when we start to get the cable equipment set up, though. :)

You know, when our cordless telephone rings, the internet always goes down. Could it be causing interference when it rings?

Actually, there is a cable company in my area literally called "Wow"
LOL. :D

but the quality of their service is pretty decent (around here atleast)
From what I've heard the quality of Comcast depends on where you are.
