This is me trying to stream

mms://127.0.0.1:8080/

their is no audio due to the WME saying no driver specified everytime i try to stream with audio.
That's the localhost IP address (meaning that points to the local computer). ;) Although, I did try it with your internet IP address (which I can see) but it does not appear to be working.

If anyone's interested, I have a WS4000 emulator stream running here: mms://98.162.163.13:1187

Open that link in Windows Media Player.

Programming and Graphics / Re: Wake Up With Al

Al did a weather walk stating a willy willy is a sandstorm in Australia when in fact it's a tropical cyclone in the Australia area.
Actually, I looked that up, and it appears to have both meanings.

I see this:
That's been present before the outage. Not going to worry about it right now since it isn't a huge deal.

Our host was able to simply restore all of the forum files to get thing back up and running. There were no issues with the database; apparently some files got corrupted.

Again, if you notice any problems, please alert us.

I am running Vista on both PCs. Any different instructions?
Ah, I can't help you then. I'm not using Vista ATM, I am using Windows 7, which is a bit different than Vista.

I wouldn't worry about it though. Chances are, if you restarted the router, the computers should have unique local IPs. B)

Is it normal for IP addresses to change? I used to have the same IP address for three years, then last year the last digit suddenly change.
Yes it is normal.

I did. I just reset the router and nothing changed. Perhaps I am getting worked up over something that is not that big of a deal. Should I be concerned that my laptop and desktop are sharing the same IP address?
They're most likely not. You're looking at your INTERNET IP addresses. You're computer's local IP addresses should be different. To check on this, on BOTH computers (assuming you're running XP): Right click on the Wireless Network Connection icon in the notification area (the icon that looks like a monitor with some waves to the right of it) and click Status. Click the "Details" tab, and the local IP addresses of the computers should be displayed there. They should be different.

Well, my laptop notified me this morning that the IP addresses are the same, and yes, I am looking at the IP address that shows up with my posts.
Read my post socool. ;)

Desktop

EDIT: Still have the same IP address on both PCs. Does it change anything to move either computer only inches or feet?
Are you looking at the IP address displayed in your post (I think you can see your own IP). If so, that's not the local IP address of the computer. What OS do you use?

Are you at the same house? If so, that's why. You're still using the same connection.
The computer it self (not the internet connection) should have it's own "local" IP address. No two computers on the local network should have the same IP address.

socool, the easiest/quickest way to fix that is just reset your router (power off and back on again). That'll cause it to re-assign IP addresses to the computers and they shouldn't get the same IP address again.
