I've had quite a few disconnections and my IP has been the same here since I moved two years ago.
Apparently you have a static IP. ;)

Well, my IP address changed yet again. I was thinking the power went out due to thunderstorms (and thus the router had to restart), but my computer was still on when I came home from school, at the same state that I left it this morning (so it couldn't be a power issue).

Also, I noticed every time my IP changes, I get logged out of TWC Classics.

(I can't believe I just made that video)

You should make a "How to use Notepad" video next. :P

I noticed that post counts drop when threads and posts get deleted. Is Simple Machines aware of this problem?
It's not a problem, it's a feature. ;)

That's odd. It usually requires more than simply power cycling (the tech term for unplugging and replugging your router) to cause it to pull a new IP address.
Yeah, it never did that before when I had to power cycle the router.

Regardless, I'm not sure where you heard that you necessarily had a static IP. Though the name Gil does come to mind.  :whistling:
I always thought my IP was static because it always stayed the same ever since I got Cable internet, until today.

We had to unplug and plug back in our router this morning because the internet wasn't working, and it looks like when we did that, my IP address completely changed. Looks like I don't have a static IP after all.

Gil used that screen name back at TWC Classics.
No he didn't. He talked about using it, but he never did. ;)

That sounds a little more complicated and time consuimg then simply playing the file and recording the sound.
It's not really complicated at all, it's pretty simple, actually.

So I take it it's a school computer then? That's a little different.
Correct.

Or, you could import your video file into Windows Movie Maker, drag your video file into the Audio/Music section into the timeline (it'll get rid of the video). Then, save the file, and it should save as a .wma file.

Sounds a little odd. I don't want anyone being able to watch what I'm doing whenever they feel like it.   :ninja:
I can understand the reason why. They don't want people to abuse the technology and just playing around on the computers, or going on sites like MySpace, etc. with a proxy (but it does happen anyway sometimes). ;) Also, it can be used to troubleshoot a computer when he (the tech coordinator) can't come down to the classroom to fix it.

Stephen, what does that binoculars icon on your Mac's menubar mean?
That's Apple Remote Desktop. The technology coordinator can watch what we're doing (he doesn't watch all the time - we can click that binocular to find out) on the computer.
