I still see it, so try clearing your cache.  ;)
Yeah, that fixed it. Don't know why I didn't try that before I asked, that's what usually works. Guess I'm just slow tonight.

Forget it. I am hopelessly confused right now. And your answers aren't helping any.
Mozilla Suite is completely different from Mozilla Firefox. The suite was/is a bundle of programs, a web browser (obviously), e-mail program, web page creator, IRC client, and an address book. Mozilla Firefox is just a standalone web browser. ;)

So then I was right?
Mozilla Suite is not the same thing as Firefox ;)

Like?  :whistling:
About the Mozilla Suite. I thought it always had been built from scratch, not built from Netscape.

I love conversations like these, cause no one knows how to leave it go if no one's discussing it anymore.
I personally didn't see anything wrong with Billy's post, because it helped clarify a few things.

Netscape has been around FAR longer than Mozilla, so how could it be possible for it to have been based on Firefox, and not the other way 'round?
The Mozilla App Suite WAS built off of Netscape, but Firefox was a re-written app (not built off of Netscape).

I'm not going to continue arguing with you, but I stand by my statement. Mozilla IS made by Netscape, and is based upon the Netscape technology.

BTW, you can quit with the Wikipedia links. I trust Wikipedia about as far as I can throw it.  ;)

Well, if you don't believe Wikipedia, then surely you must believe Mozilla: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/about/ And this post from the official Netscape blog says that Netscape is based on Firefox: http://blog.netscape.com/2007/02/06/extensions-and-netscape-9/

And yes, it IS the same technology as Netscape, but like I said (and I will stand by my statement as well) it's based on Firefox, not the other way around. ;)

Firefox is made by and built upon Netscape.  ;)

Nope. Mozilla Firefox descended from the Mozilla Suite (which Netscape WAS built upon in the earlier versions), and built by Mozilla Corporation. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mozilla_Firefox It is no way, shape, or form, built on Netscape.

Gary did you say "new, useless features?" I'll take it! :thrilled:  :rofl2:

No, I said it. :P

No Stephen, Firefox is based on Netscape.  ;)

Firefox is a re-written version of the Mozilla Suite (later to be renamed to SeaMonkey). If Firefox was built on Netscape, Netscape 9 wouldn't be built on Firefox. ;)

Firefox is Netscape.  ;)

Actually, it's the opposite (at least for Netscape 8 and 9). Netscape is based on Firefox, not the other way around. All those versions are, are just simply Firefox with a new name, new theme, and new useless features (IMO).

What kind of Browser is SeaMonkey?

Wow, that's still quite a few updates.
Luckily, those updates only took about 15-20 minutes to complete. Probably because most of them were already downloaded to my computer, all that was needed was to install them.

I'm currently having to re-image my Windows XP desktop computer with the built in recovery software which is on another partition of the hard drive, with an image of the Windows XP SP1 installation that the computer came with, because when I booted up the system this morning, it'd get almost to the logon screen, but it would go no further than the Windows XP logo. (It would do the same even in Safe Mode.) <_< It's going to be fun having to install 1 million Windows Updates after this gets through. :wall:
Now I'm having to install 92 updates from Microsoft Update in order to bring this thing back up-to-date. I'm not kidding, 92 updates.

This makes me feel glad I have a high-speed connection (and another computer to use while it's doing the updates). :whistling2:

IIRC, he just has a desktop and a laptop, then there's his mother's laptop and family desktop.
Yes, that's about correct. 1 desktop and 1 laptop (for me), 1 desktop and 1 laptop (for my mom) and 1 family desktop.
