I've seen her referred to as Jennifer on air before. When?
That was really weird; just now on First Outlook, they typed out Jen Carfagno's L3 as "JENNIFER CARFAGNO."I saw that yesterday morning. Also, the second line on the lower third yesterday said Meteorologist instead of Travel Analyst, even though she was doing travel.
I've never heard or seen her referred to as Jennifer.
I KNOW I've seen her referred to as Jennifer.I've seen her referred to as Jennifer online before, but she's never been reffered as Jennifer on air, AFAIK.
I use, every morning, a black MacBook for the school's morning show production. More specifically, what I basically do is update (and then display on the show) the graphics for the show. All the graphics, main show opener, segment openers, backgrounds, information slides, etc. are contained within a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation. It may seem like a "cheap" way of doing things, but it actually works quite well, and it doesn't take long to update, about 5-10 minutes, depending on what content we're airing that day.
Luckily, it hasn't done so since that day.

My post was submitted at 7:55:52But it still was at 7:55.

So Al and Gil, let me try to understand your logic. What your telling me is that it has to happen or else you won't protect yourself from it? That's like saying you'll get gas AFTER you run out, or install smoke detectors AFTER your house burns to the ground.Exactly, it makes absolutely no sense, whatsoever.
Well nothing has happened yet, so why do i have any reason whatsoever to worry? Power surges are very rare here (whether its weather related or not). Once something gets damaged, THEN i'll be much more catious. Until then, absolutely nothing wrong. Everything is on a surge protector anyway. (the expensive ones too)You always need to be careful in case something like that happening. Leaving your computers plugged in during an electrical storm only makes the chances of your PCs being fried, more likely.
i have a serge protector. even so i've never really worried myself about it.Just because you have a surge protector doesn't mean you're 100% out of the woods. A REALLY bad storm can still get through that surge protector. So, you should ALWAYS shut down (and unplug) your PC during a thunderstorm (particularly the bad ones). It's always better to be safe than be sorry.
