Local Forecast / Re: TWC HD STAR shot?

no not really...because they're likely the change the date. like they always tend to do...we can't PROVE that YWT and EE will 100% be in HD on EXACTLY June 2nd. Even if TWC did say so, because again they tend to hold things off.
True. Weekend View was SUPPOSED to launch sometime in July 2005, but that never happened. :whistling:

Another logo change? IS change? etc.
No, the TWC logo will stay the same.

rumor has it Your Weather Today and Evening Edition will be HD on June 2...as for the rest of the shows, it may be small updates at a time.
It's not a rumor, it's a fact. ;)

We drove for a half hour to go to Applebees, and found out that the parking lot was full. It is 3 in the afternoon, raining heavily, and yet people could care less and eat at a restaurant at a time u normally don't eat lunch. SO w/o lunch and no parking, we went home <_<

Maybe your family should buy this car:
(at 1:59 in the video). That way, you'll never have to worry about parking trouble. :D

During the 3:20 CT Weekly Planner opener, Dave called the woman pressing the buttons Adam Berg's wife. Nice one.
ROFL. :rofl2: Got a clip of that?

Getting used to the OS (my advisor has told me that I need to be familiar with Windows (both XP and Vista), OSX, and Linux), basic web design (text-based, maybe some graphic-based)...nothing too powerful...the most powerful thing I might do is slideshow movies.
Then the Mac Mini should do the job just fine.

Depends what you're wanting to do with it. Obviously, they are at the very bottom of the line, as far as Macs are concerned, and mid-range as far as PC's are concerned.
As Gil said, it depends on what you're going to do. If you plan on doing a lot of graphics work, then you should go up to a higher range model (such as the iMac, for example). However, if you don't plan on doing those things and just using it for basic tasks (well, you can do graphics work on the Mini, but you might find yourself limited, in terms of RAM and graphics capability), then the Mini would be the most affordable option for you.

you have to buy everything else extra (which adds up)
No you don't. That's why it's called Bring Your Own Display, Keyboard, and Mouse, not Buy Your Own Display, Keyboard, and Mouse. ;)

And with this tuner, does it need to be near a phone jack?
Why would it need to be near a phone jack? It's a TV tuner, not a telephone tuner. :P

Well, it's kind of hard to read when the font is this small (ok, smaller than that). And I've been SO accomodated to metro forecast/regional forecast (or 3 day forecast)/precip/thunder (severe weather alerts)/radar and sattelite we've seen over the last 5 years.
If you see the HD Satellite LF in true HD, then the font size is perfectly fine. ;)

[off topic]
Stephen, I made you a WeatherSTAR 4000 emulator clip in AE last night about an hour before the storms passed over your area. I'll post it after I burn it to a DVD. It looks so much better captured from TV.

Sweet, thanks! B) :D

They always do for the first hour of PME Weekend. I take it you don't watch TWC weekend shows much?
I do sometimes, but before they switched to the big desk I didn't really pay attention to those things. ;)
