General Discussion / Re: The Front Porch

My internet is back up today. :) Last night and this morning, it went down constantly, and we had a cable guy come here to try to figure out the problem, as resetting the modem and stuff like that weren't working. They checked out everything, and the problem turned out to be the modem, and he replaced it, and everything is working fine so far.

What was weird was that on Thursday night (around Midnight or so) it also went down, but we called them then and they said that night it was an area outage.

BTW, the opener now uses a crummy cut of the weekend morning package much like the Weekend Now opener music, but the WO version starts at a very awkward place and ends without further music playing after the signature portion of the music where the logo is revealed.
Did they fix the opener (so that it's SD friendly)?

Fay, could be a very dangerous major hurricane according to several sources.
It's WAY too early to tell what might become of this system. If it gets in the gulf, it could explode into such a system (many systems before have done just that). There's still uncertainty about the path and where it could go, but all areas from the central Gulf Coast to the Carolinas need to keep a close eye on this system in the meantime.

This one could be interesting. If it takes the southern path of the track, it could get in the gulf, and it could possibly affect us. If it takes the center path, it'll go right through land and not strengthen very much. If it takes the northern track, it could impact the Carolinas. Both the northern and southern tracks have it move over quite a bit of water, so this could become a hurricane depending on what path it takes.

This is one to watch, that's for sure.

Then why was I seeing Long Form at 2am ET recently?
You weren't. Long form programming doesn't air at 2 AM ET at all during the week or weekends with the current schedule.

thanks. SO on Monday they will show regular programming all night from 1 to 4am?
No. Long form programming is at 3 AM ET (like I previously said). From 1 to 3am ET is regular programming, 3AM ET is longform programming, and 4 AM ET (4:30 ET on weekends), regular programming returns.
