SECY is a standard abbreviation, I believe.

Again, not good. It seems like the CEO is going to focus on weather.com, and Darby keeps the TV channel.

Sorry, Zach.

I'd rewritten the 4000 article several months ago, along with other articles (Weather Star XL, The Weather Channel, History of The Weather Channel, Local on the 8s, several show articles, etc.) Inconsistency is something I don't like to see, so I try to clean it up.

I thinks there should be a Devastating option, but i think twc is on the verge of what is called "Chapter 11" if they continue this travesty of programming.

If anything, ratings will go up. :P
TWC won't be filing. It's not their responsibility. NBC runs the network. NBC owns it.

TWC is still legally separate; remember that NBC does not own 100% of the network but that Blackstone and Bain Capital have a share too. So it could technically file chapter 11.

The Radar Satellite no longer has the time lapse bar. It had continued to have the bar even after the 2007 IS relaunch when they were removed from the local and regional radar.

The TWC logo needs better shadowing in comparison to the LDL.

For the longest time, the only ancient Weather Star in Arizona known to TWC fans was the Bullhead City XL by NPG Cable.

I was watching Cox overnight when they ran an ad for NPG (weird, but their service isn't offered in Phoenix proper).

They offer service to these areas. All except St. Joseph (MO) and Mammoth and June Lakes (NV) are in my state:

"BLYTHE

BULLHEAD CITY

FLAGSTAFF

JUNE LAKE

KINGMAN

LAKE HAVASU

MAMMOTH LAKES

PARKER

PAYSON

PINE/STRAWBERRY

SEDONA

VERDE VALLEY

ST. JOSEPH"

How might I find out if parts of NPG still have XLs? Would writing to somebody be a help?

Now I'm pissed at Fine Living Network...They moved Iron Chef from 9 PM to 10 PM, and put some stupid show in its place. :censored:

Three Sheets, the program that moved in, was salvaged from the dead MOJO HD. There were several people on another forum I go to waiting for news on when and where it would land.

Promos: great.

News updates: Expected. I actually had this idea and nearly threw it in my letter to Geoffrey Darby. MSNBC's news presented by someone on Morning Joe, and then your TWC national forecast from Steph/Al/Mike/whoever is working that day. Even a small CNBC Market Wrap-style item with a CNBC anchor for a few seconds with your financial headlines before the markets open.

Premise: BAAAAD. See this blurb from my favorite cable trade mag:

"Since acquiring the Weather Channel in a $3.5 billion deal with Landmark Communications last July, the partners have been retooling the service. The channel had previously been much more focused on straight weather forecasting. The partnership is trying to broaden the programming to encompass storytelling around the subject matter and extend into long-form shows - one way of getting viewers and advertisers to stick around."

We hope they fail. While it probably is lucrative for advertisers....no way.

This hiring seems to be rather new media (TWCi)-focused. Darby probably will continue to have the run of the TV channel.

Al, having Phoenix Area and Phoenix on the same LDL is a waste of time and graphics.

Alejandro: That must be a new feature with the ESPN new ticker.

Everyone: Got a beef with TWC? Just tweet @darbs and put the hash tag #unfairweather at the end.
