TWC and your Cable Company / Re: DirecTV/DISH Question

You need an over the air tuner for 11.2 on Dish, I believe.

The only digital channels Dish will carry are subchannels of stations that were tied to station carriage - and those have network affiliations, e.g. CW and Fox.

NM has also been used on The Weather Network and local news promos. Some TV stations use NM cuts for their news opens!

Ours switched to Local AccuWeather. There are now TWO Local AccuWeathers in this market, though 12 has the more traditional format.

When data expires....hyphens are in the forecast, with a dash of dashes expected the week prior.

More botched data, this time from TWC through the XL+ stream...

The WC L3rds and the IS LDL are Helvetica Neue.
The other L3rds and the XL are Akzidenz-Grotesk, and the XL specifically mainly uses the Extended variants. (Look at the R to compare.)
The IS uses Interstate for local forecasts and as its display typeface.

I think so.

From now on, all these are with the other NBC networks, and MSNBC, CNBC, NBC, Telemundo, etc. are to follow suit.

Yeep! That's a...WEATHER STAR XL V2!?

And yet the cable provider has an IS. (There's an IS at the end, and KP's STAR ID begins with a 2, i.e. IntelliStar.)

Overnight: PME graphics and EE lower thirds during Weather Center!?

I now hear that it indeed became PME. But if it's PME, use the PME lower thirds!

Wrong show?

They also had "roofs ripped off of roofs" on a graphic during WV this morning.

Should I create a new Wikipedia article on the old Weather Center, and rename the current WC article to "Weather Center (2009)"? I'm working on spliting that article into two pages and I'd like your input before I submit the changes. I really think we should have two separate articles on this; the old WC is nothing like the current WC at all, the only similarity is the name. Also, information about Overnight Outlook is included in both the Evening Edition and Weather Center articles. IMO, it would be cleaner if we had a separate article on OO. The article on the old WC would also include information about WC AM and WC PM.
 Yes, I think you should make a new article for the old Weather Center and rename the current WC article, and edit it.
I agree. But if you do so, make sure you update links in other articles that currently go to the page.
I don't agree. I poured my time into overhauling Weather Center, and I will not let it change.

[The name thing is a joke with Vic, by the way.]
