Programming and Graphics / Re: Three new shows coming March 2013

So, TWC would like to not only forecast weather but control it or at least collaborate with people who wish to control it.  That's what I gather from the description of "Hacking The Planet."  This reminds me a lot of cloud-seeding a few years back.

Right now, I'm hearing "(It's Just) Talk" by the Pat Metheny Group (Feb. '00 list) on Sonic Tap Smooth Jazz.

EDIT: Today (Feb. 13 2013) I heard Morning Dance by Spyro Gyra (Oct. '97 list) and Take Five by Dave Brubeck (Dec. '10-Jan. '11 list) on KAAM 770 AM.  While not a jazz station per se, they do sneak a few of those in from time to time.

Jim Cantore just said he was "disappointed" to have not seen lightning so far in Boston.  I guess he's longing for more thundersnow.

These are the times in which TWC nearly becomes worth watching for hours on end once again.  Add in some 2-minute LF's or perhaps more classic LF music and you might be able to strike out the "nearly."

EDIT: According to TWC's lightning tracker, there's some lightning going on near Long Island, overlapping radar-indicated snow.  This could by thundersnow after all.  Cantore's not there, though; he's in Boston covering the storm there.

It was probably just a lucky series of selections that happened not to include any vocals.  I've been hearing the same old playlist.

Oh, and that video is a major dose of win.  B)

The only weird one is "Q"

For fans of Star Trek TNG, though, this may well be the scariest one.  It's only three storms away, too, if we get that many more.

TWC has found Nemo.  It's bad that something like this is what it took to get overnight coverage, but it looks like that's what we have tonight going into tomorrow.  No long-form programming tonight.

I guess the Superdome wasn't so "super" for about half an hour.  It was rather creepy to see the stadium like that.   It sure made it exciting, though.  With that being said, how do you expect to have what amounts to a huge party and not have something break?

If the power outage had happened in the second quarter instead, then the 49ers might have pulled it off.  The momentum shift came to late to come back from that much of a deficit.  I was rooting for the Niners to avoid seeing a northeastern team win yet again, even though I'm not a true fan of either team that was in it this time.

Phil is sort of the "main" groundhog, so I'm more likely to go with what he says over the "regional" groundhogs.  With the way spring already seems to be coming early (60°+ lows in January), the early spring prediction is all too believable.
