When even the OCM's are getting "Coast Guard" and "Lifeguard" mixed up when telling you what longform show is coming up next, you know there's too much longform to keep up with on the channel.  No joke, it just happened.

Right now, I'm hearing "There She Goes" by Sixpence None The Richer (Aug. '12 list) on Sonic Tap 90's Hits.

This sure brings back memories.  I'll have to keep an eye on TWC a little more closely now that there may be a reason to watch.  ;)

The FBI and the Boston PD aren't playing around now.  They mean business.  It's too bad a Boston police officer was lost in the line of duty, though.  :(

General Discussion / Re: West, TX Plant Explosion

 :(

This is really bad so soon after Boston, even though there's no indication the West explosion was intentional.  Even TWC has covered it a little, talking about the rain that should help firefighting efforts but hinder rescue efforts.

84 °F and partly cloudy, with winds SSE at 15 mph gusting to 23.  I think I've got it coming tonight and tommorow, though.

Now (8:30 AM 4/18/13) it's 64° with heavy thunderstorms.  Winds NW at 9 mph.  Rain reported in the past 24 hours is 0.26".  The cold air coming in is making the severe potential fizzle out, though.

Severe Weather / Re: MDT Risk - April 17th

There's trouble going on near Frederick, OK., which was in the red area on the map.  Storm chasers are on the ground beaming the footage to the viewers, and tornado warnings have gone up.  Hook echoes have been reported, and there's a clear triple point on the map where N, SW, and SE winds are converging.  Tor-Con is 6/10 for S.-Central Oklahoma and 5/10 for Dallas.

We had a clown fish (Nemo) a while back, and now we have a bear with a green tie (Yogi).  Anyway, someone asked TWC what would happen in the event that the list was used up, and the answer just aired.  A new list has been submitted to TWC, apparently by a school class.  The first name on the new list would be Achilles if I heard right.

Everything Else TWC / Re: General TWC Discussion

Contrary to what TWC may think, not everyone is on Facebook or Twitter all the time and therefore they might not see TWC there.  Did it occur to them that some may want to watch the channel instead?  This is pretty much a carbon copy of what I see on other networks and shows.  Hashtags are everywhere on those.

On another note, I actually saw them showing Storm Stories yesterday, likely due to Tornado Week coming up soon.  At least it was genuine weather-related longform, unlike some of this other stuff they're dreaming up these days.
