I saw the two Charlie Brown Christmas specials they showed the other night on ABC and heard Christmas is Coming, Christmas Time Is Here, Linus And Lucy, O Tannenbaum, Skating, and What Child Is This. All were by Vince Guaraldi (Holiday '03 list).

$3.08 for me. It hasn't moved much in a long time. It did get down to $2.97 here a few weeks ago, but that's as low as it went.

Fair and 9 °F. Feels like -1 °F. Winds ENE at 6 mph. Another whopping 0.1" of snow has fallen, bringing the total to 0.3".

They say it could get down to the mid single-digits tonight. The sky's going to partially clear out, which will enhance radiational cooling. The snow threat's just about over, though. I'm not under any advisories right now.

Light Snow and 10 °F. Feels like -5 °F. Winds N at 13 mph, gusting to 17. Snowfall so far is a mere 0.2", but I'm thankful to even see that much. It may just be too cold to snow a lot.

The last thing I bought was the new Mannheim Steamroller Christmas CD. It doesn't quite feel like Christmas to me without hearing some of their music.
I've been meaning to get me one of those. They're really versatile, whether used for backups or file transfers. I notice the flash drives are becoming more reasonable as time goes on. There was a time that a 4 GB flash drive cost as much as a 64 GB one would now.

One of the power generators in ERCOT did get a sizable fine for that, though. So, maybe they've learned their lesson.
During the fall, ERCOT initially projected that electricity supply would be sufficient for the winter. However, that was when a mild winter was predicted, which seems to have gone out the window now. Thankfully, wind generation has grown and is helping to pick up the slack left behind by the mothballing of older coal plants.
I'm under a Winter Weather Advisory now with the possibility of 1" to 2" of the white stuff. There's a chance of single-digit lows and a five-day stretch of below-freezing temperatures. Wind chills could reach the negative teens. Hopefully the power doesn't go out. Apparently, my part of the state's not on ERCOT; I'm not sure whether or not that's a good thing.

Red flag warnings don't sound like they go with cold weather. I guess it's because of the wind, but still, that sounds like crazy weather.

I guess I had better say, "Atlanta, get ready," because Dallas may see snow or ice by Monday. Dallas now has a Winter Storm Warning in effect until 12 pm on Monday.
