I think it's a reflection of the state of things at TWC as much as anything.  As the channel goes down, everyone gives up and moves on.

Thunder nearby and 99 °F.  I can see a storm brewing, despite having only a 20% chance of rain; go figure.  Feels like 102 °F.  Winds S at 16 mph.

Right now I'm hearing "Route 101" by Herb Alpert (Mar. '03 playlist) on KAAM AM 770.

but it's nice to see that they even stated no VR and games ARE coming.

No VR, and I hope it stays that way, unless the VR doesn't detract from the quality of games that are made.  VR just doesn't appeal to me right now.  I want to play games just to play them, not because I want them to look exactly like real life.  If I want to see real life, I'll step outside and get some sunshine (if that's still a thing).  When I want to kick back and play a game, I'm not always concerned about it looking like reality.

I've got $1.93.  I never expected to see that in summer.  B)

Congratulations, Cleveland Cavaliers!  LeBron and Irving took the frost off of Curry's mug.  It's refreshing to see traditional basketball triumph over endless 3-point obsession.  Threes are good if you can make them, but fast breaks are fine too.

Nintendo's unfortunately going to go the way of Sega if they keep playing around with these fancy new consoles instead of concentrating on what really matters.  That is to say, the games!  At this rate, I expect that five years down the road you'll see a Zelda game on the (speculative) new PS5 or XB2 developed by Nintendo for those systems because there may not be a Nintendo console.

Smooth jazz on TWC?  It's too bad I missed it.  I'll have to keep an eye (and ear) out for the next one, though.  It just feels right!

Yes!  A local LDL is one of the things that makes TWC what it is.  (was?)

Cloudy, windy and 29 °F.  It feels like 14 °F.  Winds N at 30 mph, gusting to 41.  There is a Blizzard Warning in effect, with over one foot of snow, high winds, and even thundersnow likely.  :snow:  I'm sure there's someone in weather land that likes thundersnow.

In any case, it looks like I'm going to have to dig out over the course of this week.  :snow:

TWC Today News / Re: Martin's passing and the future of TWC Today

  I simply don't know what to say.  I must give my best wishes to Martin's family, even though I know I found out about his passing rather late.
