We've got several TVs in our cafeteria at school, and the Student Senate is smart enough to keep them off the extreme-o channels (FOX and MSNBC). They're usually on CNN, ESPN, or local channels.
yea thats what I was referring to earlier. MSNBC seems a bit extreme for public school.
Things have really changed since I was in school. My high school only had three or four TVs for classroom use, and there were none in the cafeteria and common areas.
Yep. Now all the schools are broke with no money for books or teachers but at least the kids can watch tv!

I remember our school got a bunch of tvs and projectors that never really got used. The school system got a grant and decided they needed to spend the money as fast as possible without looking for good uses for it. Makes me less sympathetic when you hear them complain they need more money.
