Twitter used to be the big thing back in what.. 09? TWC was the reason why most of us decided to get a twitter account and yet I still have mine today. xD Now it seems like they're more into facebook, but most of us don't really prefer facebook too much. :/
Very interesting point. Twitter is unique and allows for more interaction between viewer and OCM. With Facebook the information is more one way in my opinion. As for why Facebook is more popular with TWC, its simply because more people are on it. The TWC page on Facebook has 500,000+ likes while their  twitter page has around 100,000+

"S&P: No regrets in lowering U.S. credit rating"

No regrets? Wow, just wow.
Why would they have regrets? Its not their fault the US economy sucks. Why keep lying to themselves and say we are a AAA rating when we are not? I love how some people and the the White House have begun blaming the credit agencies. It would be hilarious if things weren't so devastating.

President Obama is "making a statement" at around 1PM Easter/Noon central today.  I normally do not follow this kind of stuff, but I should REALLY start.
Didn't see it but looking at the market I can say it didn't help

For starters, taxes for the wealthy have to be raised, and entitlements have to be cut down.

One little problem with the first part of your plan...

IRS: Not enough rich to cover the deficit

Entitlement reform is a necessity.

Funny you should mention that URL. I read it myself a few days ago. Interesting stuff

It's not the best deal, but at least we avoided an economic catastrophe.
Wow the debt deal sure saved us! The markets really took off.... oh wait. Well at least the deal saved out nations credit rating.... oh wait.

Tomorrow is going to be an interesting day people. If the markets really fall after this downgrade I think we are in serious trouble

I discussed this with a Twitter friend. Its really a simple answer. Stephanie has like 17-18K followers on her personal twitter while the show only had 4-5K. It makes sense to get rid of the Twitter/Facebook page. Personally I liked having both, although it was more work for the OCMs, I liked being able to tweet about specific show related content on the show page. The rest of the show Twitter pages have bit the dust too like @PMEdition @WxCenter @FirstOutlook. The worst part is that the accounts were actually deleted and all of the data that had been posted and collected is gone. Seems like a waste.

I think that's the name of the segment.  The question was asked "how much does the sun cool off at night?".  Not one person that was interviewed got it right.
Earth is still the center of the universe right?

Hurricane Central / Re: Tropical Storm Emily
« on: August 04, 2011, 09:17:29 PM »
Maybe this storm will teach everyone to stop forecasting for landfalls so far out.  Would you all believe that the European model, a non-hurricane and non-US model, was the best one out of all for Emily?  It correctly predicted this dissipation to happen.  Emily is just a remnant low as the closed center of circulation has opened back up into a trough.  We'll have to monitor the remnants to see if any regeneration occurs, but it's not looking likely at this moment.
Because the ECMWF is da bomb!

Virginia Tech is under lockdown now due to a suspected gun carrier http://content.usatoday.com/communities/ondeadline/post/2011/08/virginia-tech-under-lockdown-because-of-report-of-gunman/1

Bunch of bull. 3 kids may or may not have seen a guy carrying something  that kinda looked like a weapon underneath a cloth. The university did a lockdown which was the right thing to do and has since lifted it. However the media acted insane and scared everybody to death by saying there was a confirmed gunman running around campus. I have a feeling this is another balloon boy story and those kids needs to be questioned further.

The construction is over and they have been back to normal for about a week now. There is not, and will not, be a new studio or a new desk for a while. Where have you been?
So I guess the Global Forecast Center just needed to be ripped out for no reason

Went to serve my jury duty today, and the judge kicked everyone who was wearing jeans or shorts out! We were all told we would be re-summoned to appear at a later date. How ridiculous! I was wearing a nice polo and nice shorts, nothing inappropriate. What a  :censored: :censored: :censored: she was.

And they wonder why people hate the justice system!
Wow thats ridiculous. The letter I got said to wear comfortable clothing. Guess the judges have their own standards in mind.  Sounds like a real  :censored:
