It's always best to do a clean install. You're less likely to encounter problems with a clean install, upgrades will usually cause SOMETHING to mess up. You won't get that with a clean install because you are starting fresh.

Did you actually upgrade or do a fresh install? I had a similar issues on a test computer I upgraded. Media Player would work fine if I opened it and even would load videos if I dragged and dropped them into the player. However if I tried to open the file outside of the player I got an error message similar to that of yours even with all the codecs correctly installed. This wasn't limited to media files for me either. Turns out some thing with my original vista system were outtawack and that messed up the upgrade. You actually dont need too many more codecs for 7 since a lot more are supported. If you did actually do an upgrade I HIGHLY encourage a fresh install. All of your files will go into a WindowsOld folder on your computer, so they are not erased. You just have to reinstall your programs, which to me sometimes is nice since I accumulate a lot of crap over time

I have seen a lot more pre-taped stories on TWC (with pre-recorded narrations). So I suspect they are distributing these stories to stations more than before.

Hurricane Central / New System for 2010

Next year we will be experimenting with a new system for tropical systems. They will have their own sub-forum. General tropical talk will have its own "general" topic. Maybe this has something to do with analog cable. The FCC will be discontinuing analog cable in 2012. The last major upgrade for the 4000s and Juniors came around 2002 when TWC discontinued using NWS forecasts. Maybe this may be the last version of both the 4000s and Juniors (possibly the XL too).
All of the encoding to digital gets done by a device separate from the STAR itself, so they would be just fine.
