General Discussion / Re: Youtube and Google's Updated Privacy Policy

I still don't understand the big deal. Google has been bombarding users across EVERY platform about these changes for many weeks and sending multiple emails. If you don't care enough to read the agreement then don't complain about Google "tracking you". Simple. All Google did was combine many different privacy policies and condense them into one that can be used across their services. Seems logical.

This is my 1,000th post!

To celebrate:

:P

Is it just me, or is this year simply flying by before my eyes?  We're almost at the leap day for the end of February!  I often wonder how much the leap day screws up everyone as it's the rarest day on the calendar.

Jeez I thought it was just me. Can't believe its nearly March!

You know what is a nice piece of technology?  The iPad.  :)
Sure is! Can't wait to see the new one announced in a few weeks!
Yep, considering this post is from my new one....

Nothing from the iPad 3 rumors blew me away, and I got a good deal on this one.
Oh haha didn't know you got a new one. Nice!! Enjoy it :) I love mine!

GFS is moving more towards the Euro solution. It amazes me how poorly that model is doing. For a while it looked like it wanted to send the low up the mountains. 0z runs tonight should be very interesting

General Discussion / Re: President Obama Threatening to cut NWS budgets

Congress (and the Republicans) keep demanding budget cuts, but everything that ever gets proposed to be cut results in a tremendous public backlash.  There's no way to win, really.
I believe the American people are demanding that as well ;) True there is no easy solution. Someone is going to be pissed no matter what

0Z Euro was a pretty big hit for VA. Not much precip north of Maryland though. GFS has been all over the place. It's 0z run is much different than even earlier yesterday. ~sigh~ Model inconsistency ftw!

I doubt this is Obama's plan.. it sounds like something that congress would propose
It's in the Presidents budget plan. But since its just a joke that neither party in congress will vote for you won't have to worry about any cuts.

Hopefully you can look into this again.. they're a little worse for me this evening
Again not an issue on our end. Likely because we are on a shared server some other site on the server gets heavy traffic at times.

I think it has something to do with adding "www." at the beginning of the forum URL.

just do https://twctodayforums.com/forums, seemed to have worked for me.
Even at that page you are still logged in. Its just not reflecting on that page. Might be something to do with the layout.

Carl Parker - "one of the reliable models indicate a stronger storm for the Mid Atlantic coming up to Southern New England Sunday night into Monday, we could be could be talking about substantial snow for Hartford and Boston."

Well this reliable model jumped from a southern cutter to a new england storm in 4 runs.
