Today, schools in most states are protesting against the huge budget cuts on education. California being the hardest hit iirc. I was assigned to cover this story but I came in unprepared.  I didn't hear about this till when I dropped off my little sister to her school and some protester gave me a flyer (and a t-shirt but I didnt want the t-shirt ). IVC is doing the same.

Why don't they use the money for the flyers and tshirts for something more productive. Its just my opinion but states have to cut money somewhere, especially CA. Health and eduction are huge drains and somewhere cuts have to be made. People aren't happy about it but neither are they happy about higher tax rates. Its a loose loose situation but a necessary one.

I don't know about other people, but I'm willing to pay higher taxes when it comes to health and education as long as it's not extremely outrageous.

I am not against that either if it goes for those two categories. So much bureaucracy these days which adds ridiculous costs to the two categories. Its sad

FF to about 1:10, the new icons are on the automated 6 hour and extended pages.

Yep looks like new icons to me. Look at that sun one. Its just horrible. Precip ones aren't that bad.

Because the playlists have not been the typical types of songs we all are used to, I would rather have a monthly playlist. If things reverted back to the more typical music I would be happy with a bimonthly playlist.

Death toll now is 800 +. Expect that number to rise up to thousands.

Locally, LA rescue workers are waiting for the call to fly over to Chile to help with recovery efforts.

Quite remarkable how Chile has been able to more or less remain independent and have been able to handle the situation using their own resources for so long.
