Its sadToday, schools in most states are protesting against the huge budget cuts on education. California being the hardest hit iirc. I was assigned to cover this story but I came in unprepared.Why don't they use the money for the flyers and tshirts for something more productive. Its just my opinion but states have to cut money somewhere, especially CA. Health and eduction are huge drains and somewhere cuts have to be made. People aren't happy about it but neither are they happy about higher tax rates. Its a loose loose situation but a necessary one.I didn't hear about this till when I dropped off my little sister to her school and some protester gave me a flyer (and a t-shirt but I didnt want the t-shirt
). IVC is doing the same.
I don't know about other people, but I'm willing to pay higher taxes when it comes to health and education as long as it's not extremely outrageous.
