My favorite brand is Buffalo. In two years I went through two Linksyses, a D-Link, and a Netgear. They all had the same 'dropping the connection, not allowing connection' problems. I've been using a Buffalo for years now and I've restarted it only a half-dozen times. Most of the time is wasn't even a problem with the router.
I've never heard of that brand before. Where did you buy it?
Was Buffalo the brand that was pulled from the US market briefly? :hmm: cant remember which one it was

Local Forecast / Re: Buy a Weatherstar XL at my house?!
« on: March 24, 2010, 01:30:59 PM »
this is a really weird topic. in order to get what you want, you need 3 things:
1. Means - the money, the gear, the tools, the brains, and yet more money.
2. Motive - the driving force to complete the goal.
3. Capacity - the understanding of what is needed to complete the goal.

this goes for anything in life.. getting a car, getting job, buying a house, going to college..

IMO, focus on your life, not a weatherstar.. its not going to get you anywhere.
It will get you really hot girls!!  :P

May I ask.. was that @ me or at him???

I was being honest, though.  :blushing:
Him.

1. Its not technically legal
2. You will never be able to ever use it
3. All you will have is a nice paperweight.... in terms of the XL a big ass 68lb paperweight.
4. You are probably about 11 years old, you have spread numerous false reports around. I have a greater chance of winning the lottery  than you getting a STAR.

TWC Today News / Re: TWC Classics and TWC Today

AS I have already stated, all TWCC accounts are going to be imported with a TWCC_ prefix on them to avoid merge conflicts. Once done, then I'll go through and delete the duplicates and users can change the usernames if they wish... since I'm not merging posts, this shouldn't be a difficult feat to accomplish.
IMO, whichever is the earliest join date should go onto the TWCT profiles. Would this be possible? Also, why aren't you bringing TWCC posts onto here? There's a lot of threads I look through in there to look at past TWC events and files.
The decision not to merge the posts and topics was made by Matt. It may be possible but I am unsure of that. Regardless Matt informed me he wanted to keep all  the posts "archived" in a locked forum.

Questions, Comments, Suggestions / Member Badges/Stars
« on: March 22, 2010, 12:55:56 AM »
I have been looking for a better alternative than using stars to display member rank and higher positions. Its been sugggested to me and I am considering badges similar in concept to this. I think it might be cool to have a design similar to TWC graphics or using some sort of style like that. So I would like to open it open to suggestions/ideas/comments and anyone who might want to try creating a sample design!

Spring still not here...4+ inches of snow this morning. Hopefully tomorrow will be in the mid-60s as forecasted. :)

Wow!!

Hit 81F Saturday which was a surprised to me. Warm temps have been nice

Geez, 81° already? It's only gotten upto 73° here on Saturday, but I guess you were warmer because your closer to the coast.

Really? Usually temps are cooler by the coast

Winds were not off the water which helped a lot. Felt awesome
