i don't really like either, perhaps there is a need for a complete overhaul on the logo design?

just throwing that out there. i say this because neither logos seem to "fit" so to speak, maybe it's just me though.
I am not ready to completely revamp the logo at this time. I am going to wait until Tyler shows his designs and present the ideas to Matt for him to voice his opinions once all of them are together. He seems to like the two lined logo and that is the one I am also leaning towards.

Thoughts?

I really like the | in there. I am still debating on which I like better.  A single line version or double

I noticed them on the TWC movie night. Surprised the movie wasn't 16:9
Well the movie was from 1997...
I guess they didn't release an enhanced version. Ive seen plenty of movies from before them released in widescreen. Guess not for this one

Thanks for using my inspiration, Jesse! It looks like Tyler may be working on something, but if I may suggest, I think yours would look better with TWC Classics next to TWC Today rather than under it...just a suggestion. :)
That would be interesting to see as well!

Not bad, but I think trying to mold the TWCT and TWCC logos together may be a better idea.
I highly disagree with you on that one. In my honest opinion, I feel both places should be mentioned on the logo. Martin has expressed that he wishes both places be mentioned... I'm unsure what Matt wanted, as it wasn't relayed over to me. Just remember, the dashes are for the TWC show that is on, not a part of the logo itself technically. Never has been. This is just a mock up at the moment... Adjustments would be made if necessary, and is pending approval from both parties.
I think you misunderstood what I meant... I was saying to include the official TWCC logo on there and try to blend it in with the TWCT logo. I can try to make a concept to show you what I mean.
Oh I think I see what you mean. Are you talking about the design of the logo on twcclassics.com (not the forum)? Thats not a bad idea

I am a little bothered that most areas are powered by coal... and the power plant where my power comes from is a coal plant. That's part of why I do a lot of the green things I do. I'm totally for nuclear, solar, and hydro-electric power. I don't buy this 'clean coal' concept at all. You know, on the game that I used to play, SimCity 4, there are several types of power plants you can put in your city. I noticed one called Hydrogen (not hydroelectric), that I'm guessing works the same way hydrogen fuel cell cars do. I saw somewhere that one of these plants was being built somewhere in California, but I haven't seen one before. Perhaps this is the power of the future?
Don't hold your breath on that one. Nuclear is the future and we are just too stubborn in the US to accept it. Most of the world embraces it. I strongly believe lobbying from coal companies has helped fuel sentiment against nuclear. People point to Chernobyl as an example of why not to have it but if you look at that type of plant, its not even remotely close to what the rest of the worlds plants are like. The Russians pushed limits and had really bad tech. Not surprising how much they screwed up

As for CFLs.... I want to see long term studies that show the mercury and toxic materials in them don't overshadow their energy savings.

hmm interesting! thanks for posting

Thank you for the notice, Jesse. :) I'll miss the forums, but the final result should be worth the wait! :D

I am kind of confused, though, of what to do with my TWCC account. Can I request to have it deleted, or can it be merged with my TWCT account. :dunno: I didn't quite understand Martin's post.

Once again, Martin, Jesse, and anyone else, thanks for all of your hard work in making this happen. I know this will probably be a very tedious task, but I hope the final outcome is something everyone can enjoy. :thrilled:
Example: You have a TWCC account with 500 posts and a TWCT account with 1600 posts. I will just add your posts counts up and you can pick the account you want. Then we will delete the duplicate. This will only take place upon user requests. Accounts from TWCC will likely not have post counts transferred so I will need to refer to the TWCC archived forum for verification.

Earth Hour really has no long lasting impacts and is just a gimmick to make people feel better and think they are doing something to help. If they want to do something they should do stuff like Aaron everyday.

I am pro-nuclear power all the way. Build a few of those bad boys and knock down all of the US coal plants and you will be doing a lot to save the environment. ~sigh~ Mass efficient power that creates little waste (waste that can be stored in a sealed cavern way below the Earth) or dirty non efficient coal plants that spew tons of pollutants into the air. The choice is simple.

Too bad that they don't rehire some of the ocm's that they got rid of before.
Or just didn't get rid of any in the first place. :(
