I get random things flagged sometimes. I usually ignore it if I know the site is trusted

Haha true. Its already crowded up thereThey could try to launch a satellite for each city like what they did with the local brodcast stations.Thats not how it works
Just imagine if that's how it actually was... satellites would be so crowded they'd be crashing into each other about every tenth of a second.
The new guy was alright Martin. When I heard Nick Walker say they had a NEW Hurricane Expert, my heart dropped! It's not going to be the same without Dr. Lyons being there. I do wish him the best though :-)Well thats ok at least. I agree. I miss Steve! I see you have been a member for a while but welcome anyway

Oh, I found out what we need for it. I don't have the $2.99 for it, and I'm not going to use the read-only version.
You guys are some of the most moody people I have never met.Thats for sure
Even DIsh is capable of having this technology, would it mean that cable intellistars on DISH are possible in the near future as well? That I highly doubt.
How? I thought Dish didn't have headends.Weather Cast was going to use specialized broadcast methods to provide regional data. TWC will likely use the same or even (if Dish wants to foot the bill) do like they do with local channels.
Martin, they'd have to go in space and take care of that on their satellites. You do know DISH has locals right? I am not saying a WeatherScan for every city but strategically placed and layed out it wouldn't be hard to do regional systems. And then it wouldn't be local.
I don't know if it's just me because my internet's been having problems on and off today, but has there been a lot of "An Error Has Occurred" 's for anyone else on the forums today?Error logs seem normal to me. Just a few hits here and there.
They are just adding weatherscan units everywhereA new Weatherscan feed is expected to be launched in 2010 for Dish Network subscribers, to replace The Weather Cast service that had been founded as a replacement for The Weather Channel as a result of a carriage dispute. That makes no sense. Why not just add WeatherScan to the lineup?
I just looked at the guide and it now lists the old Weather Cast channel as TWC2. Maybe they're going to do our idea of a second channel for people that are only interested in weather.
