It would be quite a feat to have a Cape Verde tropical storm forming so early in the season, but it sure looks promising from satellite so far.
Indeed! SSTs are crazy warm out there too

A LARGE LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM LOCATED ABOUT 975 MILES WEST-SOUTHWEST
OF THE CAPE VERDE ISLANDS IS PRODUCING WIDESPREAD CLOUDINESS ALONG
WITH SOME SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. THIS DISTURBANCE CONTINUES TO
BE WELL-ORGANIZED AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED TO
REMAIN CONDUCIVE FOR ADDITIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF THIS SYSTEM AS IT
MOVES WEST-NORTHWESTWARD OR NORTHWESTWARD AT 10 TO 15 MPH. THERE IS
A HIGH CHANCE...60 PERCENT...OF THIS SYSTEM BECOMING A TROPICAL
CYCLONE DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS.

CLOUDINESS...SHOWERS...AND THUNDERSTORMS ASSOCIATED WITH A BROAD
AREA OF LOW PRESSURE LOCATED ABOUT 975 MILES SOUTHWEST OF THE
SOUTHERNMOST CAPE VERDE ISLANDS HAVE BECOME BETTER ORGANIZED TODAY.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS APPEAR CONDUCIVE FOR ADDITIONAL SLOW
DEVELOPMENT OF THIS SYSTEM OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS AS IT MOVES
WEST-NORTHWESTWARD OR NORTHWESTWARD AT 10 TO 15 MPH.  THERE IS A
MEDIUM CHANCE...50 PERCENT...OF THIS SYSTEM BECOMING A TROPICAL
CYCLONE DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS.

Not wearing contacts... I heard a lot of rumors of how they cause diseases, plus I can't stand putting something into my eye... it gives me that awkward feeling.

My friend told me he wore glasses that supposedly help improve your vision and it worked for him. I'll have to look at those.
That is completely false. Take them out and clean them and you will never have any problems. I have long term ones and can leave them in for weeks. Glasses that can improve your vision sound bogus to me. Laser surgery is the best way to go. I hope to have it done very soon. Ill be getting my eyes checked out for it in a few weeks. Only problem I have had with my eye occurred when a piece of debris got in my eye and I got a corneal ulcer( not contact related) . <- Most painful thing you will ever experience

Local Forecast / Re: Pictures of the WeatherSTAR 3000
« on: June 13, 2010, 05:55:01 PM »
That is so cool! That is my all-time favorite model of the WeatherSTARs.   Two questions that I also want to add:

1. Where did you get this?
2. If you plug it in and try to hook all of the cables up, what will it happen if you try to run it? Can you post video of it booting up?
1. Internet is your friend
2. Wouldnt show anything if I tried

This is neat! I hope you can find a use for these STARS. It's better for you to have them than for them to thrown out, I suppose. And, for the sake of curiosity, I would like to know where you buy these from, unless it's a secret illegal STAR dealer or something. Hehe.  :bleh:

**EDIT** Then again, maybe you shouldn't say where you got them. I forgot that TWC doesn't want people knowing where they can get this stuff; I can understand that. But it that was the case then nobody should be able to buy these in the open market.
These are 20 year old hunks of metal. If TWC wants them back that bad they can have them. I doubt they care haha

TWC Today News / Re: New TWC Today theme!
« on: June 13, 2010, 05:51:52 PM »
Rotating logo migrated over to the WxCtr theme. Old theme no longer has an active rotating logo due to the eventual phasing out of that theme.

Oh, we're going to phase out our current theme. :(
Well, in a sense, it won't be the "default," it'll be the failsafe, or something like that. I'll reenable the rotation if everyone wishes. It's a line I have to edit to do so. It's no problem, lol.
Please keep the forum rotation in place on both themes.

I will be collecting more user input before making that decision

General Weather Chat / Re: FCC To Open Up Weather Data Band (?)
« on: June 13, 2010, 05:41:32 PM »
Granted its that portion of the spectrum isn't used to much but I want to know more about the FCCs plan to have mobile broadband before making all of these changes. There seems to be little evidence or research into what effects such changes will have. Hopefully there will be more information out on it

FCCs plan to free up spectrum (Big LEO band=Weather data band)

Few interesting links

Endangered

No complaints on the Cancelled list. Mediocre network shows or decent shows that were beaten until they were worthless.  Its a shame there are no really original great shows that I am looking forward to. Its a little surprising to me that people still like the million versions of crime investigation series. Law and Order was actually more unique then most of the ones in that renewal list. I am happy though they did get rid of it. The show was starting to loose its touch
