Oh gosh, I haven't seen those in years now. One ad that is really irritating to me is the ad for Al Roker... "For years, his name has been synonymous with weather"... "he's a trusted friend who tells it like it is". Lies, lies lies!
Ugh I gag when I hear that.

Surprisingly, a lot more people than I thought hate Al as well. A lot of the teachers in my school don't like him..
Guess its different everywhere. He seems very popular with average folks Ive spoken to

Good posts :) Just FYI when a storm gets a classification ie. 92L, etc. You are welcome to start a new thread

If the Invest gets upgraded to a tropical storm, do we just change the thread title or start a new one?
Just change the title

1. A LARGE AREA OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE EASTERN CARIBBEAN
SEA IS ASSOCIATED WITH A STRONG TROPICAL WAVE THAT IS MOVING
WESTWARD AT 10 TO 15 MPH.  ALTHOUGH THERE IS NO EVIDENCE OF A
SURFACE CIRCULATION...THIS SYSTEM IS SHOWING SOME SIGNS OF
ORGANIZATION AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS APPEAR CONDUCIVE FOR
GRADUAL DEVELOPMENT DURING THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS.  THIS WAVE
COULD PRODUCE LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL AND GUSTY WINDS OVER PORTIONS
OF NORTHERN VENEZUELA...THE NETHERLANDS ANTILLES...PUERTO
RICO...THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC...AND HAITI OVER THE NEXT DAY OR SO.
THERE IS A MEDIUM CHANCE...30 PERCENT...OF THIS SYSTEM BECOMING A
TROPICAL CYCLONE DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS.

Nowhere in particular, really (except for the Mackinac Bridge Walk on Labor Day). I just really enjoy seeing the local forecasts from different angles, so I've been going all over the state the past 14 months. It somehow makes me proud to have credit for finding all these XL's in the state, and to have all these local forecasts from all these locations. I feel like a walking library, with some 1400 videos  :P
And that doesn't seem odd at all. Man I am surprised anyones parents would let their kid do that.
At least they are replacing it free of charge. They normally take forever for shipping, so I wonder why they chose 1 day shipping. Trying to avoid a lawsuit?  :rofl2:

The cable was damaged so its not surprising it malfunctioned. Mine smoked and sparked once. Dell always sends me stuff via overnight/1day shipping. Quite standard in the industry I thought

But yeah, I should start applying everywhere. Trouble is, I'm behind in just about everything- driving, a job, you name it. Hopefully something comes up this year. I need to start paying for the gas for my travels, and $25 every 4 days is not quite enough.
Wow you drive a lot. Where are you going that you need to drive that much?

TWC did a nice job relaunching in 2003 and 2008, releasing new graphics for all the shows and the maps at the same time. Now they seem to make a change or two once every couple months, just like how it was in 2005-2006. I don't get it.
Those were major network changes. There isn't a need for a full relaunch
