TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
NWS TPC/NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL
200 AM EDT THU JUN 24 2010

FOR THE NORTH ATLANTIC...CARIBBEAN SEA AND THE GULF OF MEXICO...

A TROPICAL WAVE LOCATED OVER THE WESTERN CARIBBEAN SEA CONTINUES TO
PRODUCE SHOWERS AND A FEW THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS PORTIONS OF
HISPANIOLA...JAMAICA...CUBA...THE CAYMAN ISLANDS...AND THE ADJACENT
WATERS OF THE NORTHERN CARIBBEAN SEA. ALTHOUGH THE LOW-LEVEL
CIRCULATION OF THE WAVE APPEARS TO BE IMPROVING...THE ASSOCIATED
SHOWER ACTIVITY STILL LACKS ORGANIZATION AND IS LOCATED MAINLY TO
THE EAST OF THE WAVE AXIS. UPPER-LEVEL WINDS APPEAR CONDUCIVE FOR
SOME SLOW DEVELOPMENT OF THIS SYSTEM AS IT MOVES WESTWARD OR
WEST-NORTHWESTWARD AROUND 10 MPH OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. AN
AIR FORCE RESERVE UNIT RECONNAISSANCE AIRCRAFT IS TENTATIVELY
SCHEDULED TO INVESTIGATE THE SYSTEM THIS AFTERNOON...IF NECESSARY.
THERE IS A MEDIUM CHANCE...40 PERCENT...OF THIS SYSTEM BECOMING A
TROPICAL CYCLONE DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS. WIDESPREAD SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS ARE ALSO AFFECTING PUERTO RICO AND THE NORTHERN
LEEWARD ISLANDS BUT ARE NOT DIRECTLY ASSOCIATED WITH THE TROPICAL
WAVE.

ELSEWHERE...TROPICAL CYCLONE FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED DURING THE
NEXT 48 HOURS.

I did not feel anything, but an area hospital felt it. (the earthquake, that is).

I am getting my ass kicked in my summer classes.  I HATE THEM!! THEY ARE TAKING OVER MY LIFE! haha.  only 1 more week of my meteorology class left..but one more month of my online sociology class left..ugh.  I recommend NOT taking more than 1 class in the summer.

EDIT: speaking of my stupid online class, i can't access the website..how am I supposed to get the work done if the website is down.  ugh.
Hang in there man. :)

Wow Ana.... the continuous 2 week squalls you had in El Centro seem to be over :P

So the HD STAR that I see here won't look nothing like what's in the works? ...well, that makes sense since these graphics are kinda old already - from September 2008   :P
Correct

Does anyone know if the iPod touch will be available in 3G? I want to use it for my car to listen to streams which I couldn't do with a wifi connection.

Got my 3rd generation Touch today. Very snappy! Glad I got the generation with the upgraded processor. Man my iPhone 3G feels like a slow, bloated brick! The kinda-sorta multitasking is nice too
It may be time for me to upgrade to a 3rd generation iPod touch. I am still using my 1st gen. Don't get me wrong, it works great. Durable and blockish :P
WAIT!!! I got mine because I got 200 bucks off for buying a Macbook Pro. Wait until around the 2nd week of September. The 4th generation will have probably have that sexy new screen the iPhone 4 has.
Just found out from the Kyle master (aka Kyle Smith :P), that a 5.5 earthquake just happened a few min ago! I'm impressed to find that it's been felt by a large number of places, such as VT, NY, OH, MI and parts of Canada. The epicenter was in Ottawa.
NOOOOO! TEH BEAVERS! :( :P

Someone removed *A LOT* of permissions from the posting groups in the admin panel, thus nobody can edit or delete their posts... The admins need to have a chat with each other and figure out what happened. I will fix it.
I was referring to the errors not the edit/delete posts

Sorry about the quotes thing.  It was a fast reply while I still had the thought in my head.

I'm curious who TWC surveys when making decisions because it appears it's the wrong viewing audience.  Generally non-informational long-form programming, no clocks on new graphics, hodge-podge graphic themes between shows and products (such as SD vs HD), etc.
They likely hire (happy Springy :P )a research company that takes many many focus groups and gets data from them. For the general population the moves they make are not poorly received or they wouldn't  be making the changes
