Tropical Storm Colin has intensified to winds of 60 mph as of 11 PM, and a tropical storm warning has just been issued for Bermuda. Colin poses no direct threat to the United States mainland.Except for some excellent surf perhaps!
I just got back from the craziest NWS shift that the Blacksburg office staff can remember in a long while. A huge line of storms crossed the area, which prompted the office to issue 43 warnings in just 8 hours! I had to help verify several of those warnings, so I'm whipped right now.As someone who drove home through that line, I agree that today was an interesting day!
