Just look at TWC and how they have spread out to cover more topics of "interest".Kid shows, family orientated stuff doesn't sell anymore.
Anything goes TV is the big ratings grabber these days.
Customer support is key in transitions like this! Comcast hasn't been the gold star winner in that category! hahathe signal gets blurry at times.
I've had people who upgraded 6 months ago tell me that.
I AM a bit of a Technophobe, but I would'nt be so irate if it went smoother, or if people in Comcast's customer service/tech support actually knew what they were talking about.
I have yet to see one benefit to this.
Yeah, I don't get why people believe any of this "Friday the 13th" stuff. It's just like any other day for me...I don't think that many people believe it, its just fun to poke fun at!
AvatarIts like pixie dust there at the start. That could be reduced a little. Remember TWC is trying to get cable companies to shell out money for something they dont really need. Its gonna have all the bling bling and flashy stuff they can cram inEye candy does sell. Remember "Day After Tomorrow" with all its special effects? That's what TWC is banking on with this new IS and the new shiny graphics. People will buy into it.
i wont be surprised if WUWA's ratings are towards the bottom of the barrel.Certainly not. Morning shows have the highest ratings on TWC. Al is a huge name in the industry.
I think some of you need to realize that how you present yourself on TV and your personality matters way more than how much of a weather expert you are when it comes to broadcasting. That's why some people who never have meteorology degrees end up doing really well presenting the weather on TV, because they have camera and people skills. Al is a perfect example. We as TWC fans may not be wild about it, but when you look from a business or casual viewer's perspective, this show is actually quite successful so far.Lets be honest about it as well.... Al presents more of a "diverse" makeup in the media category. You are correct his name is worth more than anything else. Also how much actual forecasting do OCMs even do? Local weather is a bit different but OCMs I would say aren't making tough decisions when it comes to drawing the maps and writing scripts.
I agree. People get all bent out of shape because they actually have to change something. Its like the people having to upgrade when the OTA signals went digitalThis "digital migration" is a complete disaster. EVERYBODY is pissed, I've never seen anything like it.
I don't understand what the problem is. So long as people are prepared, then there's no problem at all.
In my family, most of the TVs already had digital cable boxes. Those that didn't were equipped with the free digital converter boxes from Comcast before the cut-off date, so our house never lost service on any of its TVs.
oh! Go swimming thenI rarely go swimming imp. This summer is so boring so far because of no swimming for 2 months imp.why imp?
I go swimming and to the beach all the time in the summer imp.
Great videos, Al. I like your concepts.I agree!! Great work
Well you do have to realize he was reading a whole bunch of phrases and going down a list. If he happened to start changing the tone slightly by accident it was more noticeable when the parts were pieced together. Why does Jim sound so awkward? His voice is so deep too like he's a robot or depressed or something.
Yeah, that's kind of what I was trying to say when I said "choppy."There is one point where his voice sounds almost like it is automated or something.
Maybe, as TWCDude said, it has something to do with the beta.
Also, the Local Forecast screen no longer has text. Can someone please confirm this? Is this a new permanent change? While I can not confirm I assume if the forecast can be properly narrated then it is not shown, if there is an error or it can't the text will show.
