My Thanksgiving plan is unfortunately pushed off to this weekend as I have to work the entire week.  My family and I will visit and eat out at a few nice places.  In my opinion, the first and second weeks of December are the best time to shop at the mall where you can avoid the Black Friday crowd and the panicking last-minute shoppers.

By the way, you're looking at my 2,000th post to this forum.  Thanks for all the friendships and support!
Congrats Patrick! :)

The whole OCM shuffling should go in effect next week... I saw this somewhere... I have a feeling this is the last week we're gonna see Nicole on air.
We may indeed

Apparently its averaging 150-200 people per commercial break. A lot more than I would have thought

I'll agree... this season is just mediocre. Nothing is good anymore.
Nothing has been good on network TV for years. :hmm:
There is not a single show on that list that I watch

She has been juggling military duty and on air work just fine until now. I think it may have been her personal decision to leave. I will miss the Nicole and Paul partnership

Allthough I am definitely out of the loop on the goings-on at TWC, I am not sure if it is entirely personal. Nicole has been giving off some vibes on her Facebook that all may not be well with her and management. Someone ask her the question a few weeks ago if she was leaving because of her passing the Bar, and she responded to the effect that 'not unless management sees otherwise'. Also there has been these little snippets on FB where she disagreed with mgmt. For instance, when responding to a comment by a person who said he preferred weather instead of programs she agreed.
Very interesting!!  Thanks for sharing. I have missed those comments.

I knew Nicole wasn't going to be on because of her military duty.

OCM schedule changes have been released. Kelly Cass will be on Weather Center late edition. Nicole Mitchell has been removed from OCM scheduling.

I had intended to merge Mikes topic but apparently that didn't work  In any case as posted by him
Jen Carfagno and Eric Fisher will be the new hosts of Weekend View

DTA + PC or VCR is going to be a heck of a lot cheaper than a TiVo.  Plus you have to get a CableCard with TiVo, which could be nothing short of a nightmare to get working right.
Don't even bother with a cablecard. I tried this game once and gave up. It's usually hard as hell to get them to give you one. Plus just because you have a cablecard doesn't mean all HD channels are even open for it. Cox down here is slow about pushing new channels to cablecards.

COX just launched their mobile service here today. It sure took them a long time to launch

The reason TWC can not broadcast the show involves the distributors of the network. If you could watch a cable channel online (even with ads) then why bother watching on TV? Cable companies are scared of the online trends leaving them out in the cold and I imagine are quite strict about it. Plus a lot of local head ends insert their own ads.

The idea of behind the scene peeks are interesting but ultimately there wont be enough people tuning into it to make it worthwhile. its probably just a marketing ploy to make the show seem more interactive.

Alex they show video through the entire 2min commercial break to my knowledge. At least they did when I was looking. Perhaps there was a technical problem that cut it off after 10sec

Lets not fight guys ;)
