Wow, I think there's 7 out of 15 songs in the Daytime portion of the playlist reused from the last 2 years, not good

Although, it's nice to hear at least 3 songs that hasn't been reused.  :itsok:

I knew that NBC buying TWC wasn't a good idea in the first place.

My weather background started in January 14, 2003. (Gonna make this short and simple...)

Well, pretty much, I was just flipping the channels and all of the sudden I landed on TWC. Watching Kristina Abernathy and Carl Parker really got boredom out of me because I wanted to know what will happen tomorrow...they said it was showers, and it turned out that it really did rain! So, I was an eager 7th grader wanting to know what will be the forecast. I got really interested in meteorology thanks to TWC. Today, as a college freshman, I am taking science classes and math classes too, and my interest continues in A&B. (I ADORE Stephanie Abrams)
Hey, we have similar stories, cool!  :)

Questions, Comments, Suggestions / Re: How did you find TWC Today?
« on: February 04, 2009, 07:25:22 PM »
Everybody kept on talking about it, I came TWC Today a few times before, but without an account. Then my friends here were suggesting me to make an account on the TWC Today forums, and here I am!!!

From the SPC, they are looking at severe weather across parts of Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, and Arkansas on Sunday and Monday. http://www.spc.noaa.gov/products/exper/day4-8/.  Word around the office this morning is we may see some this far north as Omaha.  I'm not sold on it at all, based on our forecast highs and the fact that it is February.  We may see enough instability for storms, and maybe even some hail based on our temps, but so far I'm not sold at all on seeing severe storms here, I think they're "wishcasting".

Have you ever thought that severe weather can happen anytime of the year?

General Weather Chat / Re: Earliest weather event you remember
« on: February 04, 2009, 06:22:49 PM »
The Blizzard of 1996 is the earliest that I remember, we had ALOT of snow here!!! My mom remembers it more though, she says it was a really bad storm...she has a picture of herself in the snowy streets of NYC, the snow piles looked taller than her(5'+)!

Well, it was December 15, 2003, I was eight years old. It was a very boring afternoon...I was surfing through all of the channels, there was nothing on. Then, I was on The Weather Channel...they were talking about a big snowstorm that's headed for the northeast. So, I became interested in what is about to happen, TWC and NWS predicted 12-18 inches of snow!!! I was very excited, I was watching it for six straight hours as the snow in the radar image came closer and closer every ten minutes(was watching the LOT8's...WeatherStar XL V2). About 24 hours later, the total snowfall was 15 inches! Ever since then, I started watching The Weather Channel every single day up to today!

...I also remember that before December 15, 2003, I surfed through channels when I was bored. I always see The Weather Channel...I remember the WeatherStar XL V1 and V2's extended forecast(3 Day Outlook) and seven day forecast segements but it never caught my interest.

I can have TWCHD, but I need an HDTV and an HD cable box(which is free), but I'm not getting an HDTV anytime soon.
