Run-time error '-2147220850 (8004028e)':
File Open Error
Brian & Martin,
This same error as discussed in this previous thread: https://twctodayforums.com/forums/bug-reports-37/runtime-error/, I'm getting it unfortunately. What's different is when I open up the emulator, it has trouble loading the local doppler radar, the LDL then comes up, and then the error message comes up. I don't know what is causing this problem. Everything is saved in the right folders. Whenever Christmas & New Year's are over, I'm looking forward to a reply back from either one of you. Until then, you both have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year as we go into 2012.

Hi everyone. I just got back from the Field Day event. In case anyone wanted to know how it went, it went great. I wasn't able to recruit anyone. However, some people including my dad did like the "Traffic Report" segment of the emulator. That is all.

Run-time error '35600': Index out of bounds

Brian & Martin,
I have the WeatherScan XL emulator installed on my laptop. It works great. Is it okay if I run it at our county's next amateur radio field day event? It is the weekend of June 25th & 26th next year in 2011. I would only be running it just on that Saturday the 25th from 2PM ET-sometime in the evening. If my mother doesn't come to the event, I won't be participating in the field day event. The county's amateur radio clubs will be inviting the media from TV and newspaper. They'll get radio to come if possible. If anyone comes by, I was going to recruit them into using the emulator. If it is alright with both of you, I'll need to tell people the history of the WeatherScan XL WeatherSTAR, which I know that very well. I'll have to make sure that both of you get the credit. Then I have to run this by my dad, the current EC (Emergency Coordinator) along with the President of one of the amateur radio clubs to see if they approve. If it's not alright with both of you, I understand. The location is currently undetermined. It will be somewhere in the county I live in which is Cherokee County, GA north of Atlanta. It may be at an area combined fire station, sheriff precinct, & community center in the Southwest end of the county. I'm believing we will be able to set up indoors either at the combined fire station, sheriff precinct, & community center, or somewhere else indoors in the county. But if the amateur radio clubs vote to set up outside, then I won't participate in the field day event. While I'm running the emulator, everyone else will be talking on radios. Yes, I am an amateur radio operator myself. Either one of you please let me know whether or not it's okay for me to run the emulator at the field day event. Thank you.

The emulator is working now. Martin, if I wasted either yours or Brian's time, I apologize. If not, then thanks to either one of you.

Bug Reports / System Errors

I just recently updated my configurations for the emulator. I've tried to run the emulator, and for some weird reason, some system errors are coming up. Here is one of them:

System Error &H80070578 (-2147023496). Invalid window handle.

I apologize for double-posting, but after doing a thorough search online, the clip I was looking isn't anywhere to be found. Chazz must have taken it off. Anyway, Martin or Brian, either one of you are more than welcome to delete this thread. Thank you.

Does anyone know where on either TWC Classics or TWC Today is the Dan Chandler-narrated alternate :45 station identification video clip? I know that Chazz had taped the clip, and it included a run-through of a local forecast segment. The video clip started out with the beach backdrop similar to this ID video clip
http://www.twcclassics.com/files/waybackplayback/4/E%20-%20David%20Arkenstone%20-%20Ballet.wmv
. In that one, it had a later personality doing the narration. The one I'm looking for, Dan Chandler was narrating "You're watching The Weather Channel for accurate and dependable forecasts you can always turn to on this cable system. And when you can't tune in, your weather forecast is also available from...". Is that video clip still in either the TWC Classics or TWC Today video libraries? What about on YouTube? If anyone knows, would you please post the link below. In addition to the video posted in this post, I was able to find 2 others that have the later personality narration. The Dan Chandler narration was taped in either 1992, 1993, 1994., or maybe 1995. I'm not quite sure. If the video clip is no longer available online, please let me know and I'll understand. Thank you.

TWC and your Cable Company / Re: DirecTV/DISH Question

If you have DISH Network in the Atlanta, GA market, you can get the local version of NBC Plus. On the digital sub-channel of Channel 11 at 11.2, it's called "11 Alive Weather" named after the local affiliate in this market that happens to have a partnership with The Weather Channel, 11 Alive/WXIA-TV Atlanta, an NBC affiliate.

I'm aware this thread is about the previous runtime error, but I recently got a runtime error including the phrase "Run-time error" then it says '35600': all included on the first line. The second line simply says "Index out of bounds". The affiliate ID is WdstkGA1. Will one of you either Brian or Martin please fix this? Thank you.

Help and Support / Re: Need new key
« on: March 20, 2009, 03:07:32 AM »
Mike, I don't know if you've been coming back to the forums lately. Anyway, yours truly's key expires later today now that we're into Friday. I just came across the forums saying about an upcoming release for this month. I even attempted to login to my configs page and both Brian & Martin have that page down thus they're in the process of taking care of the new release. When it's ready, they'll have instructions out to tell us what to do to get a new key.

My guide shows 5am, 7am, and a 9am 2 hour Weekend View blocks for next weekend... :dunno: :dunno:

That's way too much Weekend View!
I remember before the days of Weekend View when it was just the old version of Weekend Now which lasted from 2000 to 2003. Then it changed to Weekend Planner from 2003 to 2005. During the old version of Weekend View (2000-2003) when they had 4 meteorologists, the overall shift was from 5AM-11AM. The way they broke the 4-meteorologist team down was one pair from 5AM-7AM, another pair from 7AM-9AM, and the pair from the 5AM-7AM shift would eventually come back from 9AM-11AM.

Okay, was able to download the new setup file, installed it, and got my new key.  Then I realized I had to do the "unregister 1-2-3-OK" command, now when I go to run the emulator, it requests a key.  I click GET MY KEY, and it says a key was already assigned to me.  I copy the key, then enter it on the next screen, and it says my key is not valid.  Did I unregister my key?
Brian & Martin, I'm having the same problem shadyjay had except when I attempt to get a new key, it gives me the same one I had. I tried using it again, and I'm getting that same invalid key error. Yes, this is on the same computer. Would one of you please help? Thank you.
