I don't have any clips of the Jr.
Awww, man. :( Can you recall any of the cities on the latest hourly observations list? Or the two tide locations?

I'll look into a way to capture it.
Thanks!

Did you happen to record a clip of the junior?

Monterey, I believe I didn't see the Carmel CC location until HiRAD was implemented.

Wow, that's awesome!! I had no idea there used to be a junior so close to home!

Do you have any way of capturing your intellistar? I'd like to compare it to mine. BTW, here's a clip of mine:

22769 is my local STAR ID. do WS ID's have a code based on location etc.?

I used to have a WeatherSTAR Jr. :sunglasses: until the IS replaced it March 2004.
You had a jr?!!!! What was the current condition location?

We've had the IS since around mid-2004, IIRC. I don't recall ever seeing a junior here.

Carmel, CA. :twothumbs: I used to live more inland, and I love the coastal weather.
Oooh, Carmel is beautiful!! :thrilled:

Just out of curiousity, what is your intellistar's local weather ID? Mine is 22884.

You're in the Monterey/Santa Cruz area?
Yep. I live in Aptos. Where are you from?

It's pretty neat that someone from my area is now a part of the TWC community. Welcome ABC7!

Speaking of vacations, I plan on going to Colorado again at the end of July. I'm supposed to help my dad move back to California, and we plan on driving and stopping at several hotels along the way. I'm hoping that at least ONE of them will have an older STAR. Oh, and I'll also be going to Portland, OR soon, and I'll be sure to capture their intellistar too.
Even if they have the IntelliStar in those hotels, try to get clips. :)
Oh yes, I plan on capturing the STARs at all the hotels, even if it's satellite or intellistar. I'm hoping to capture them with my tuner, but if the hotel has some kind of funky set up, I'll capture it with my camera.

Isn't your tuner normally like this? The WinTV HVR 950 has a really bright quality. It's actually so bright on my system that I use the "brightness decrease" option in Movie Maker

Derek, try using the Brightness Increase option when importing the video in Movie Maker. It helps
No, it's not normally like that. I've never had to use the brightness increase option before when I processed my videos.

For the past few days, my tuner has been producing extremely dark videos. I didn't touch the brightness or contrast settings, so that isn't the problem. Just take a look at this video: http://files.filefront.com/Intellistar117wmv/;10829742;/fileinfo.html

Does anyone know how I could fix this?

Maybe something changed at the cable company. Does it look darker on a normal TV?

It's definently the tuner. Everything looks perfectly normal on the TV.

I have done this for you, Derek and eventually they won't care. I have worked so hard on recording these clips, and you guys don't even like it
Are you kidding me? I love your satellite clips. Sometimes it's the only way I can listen to an unavailable song. In fact, I have your clip of "Back On Track" and "Green Shadow" on my ipod as well as Victor's clips of "Smoothie McGroovy" and "Island of a Thousand Dreams" .

No one here really likes us so that's a no :(
It's not that nobody likes you. It;s just that the other members don't feel comfortable doing a voice chat with you.

Don't feel comfortable?
Well..yeah. It would be kinda weird talking to someone you barely know over the internet. :whistling:

Me too, I understand, yeah I known you Derek for almost a year, so I don't know if are comfortable doing a voice chat with me.
You don't feel weird about chatting with someone you don't even know over the internet? I'd certainly feel weird about it...
