Local Forecast / Re: Weatherstar XL Problem?
« on: March 03, 2010, 09:35:47 AM »
It's likely there isn't enough time for the XL to read the 3-day forecast. It has narration for every possible condition.

My STAR has returned as of this afternoon. :( However the little weather pictures during the 36 hour forecast do not appear..

Hope you don't mind that it's just a satellite LF with no LDL :P
Curious how your "dead" STAR will react come next week.
I'm wondering if I'll even see this update you guys keep talking about. It sure looks as though my STAR will be dead through that day. As of the :38 LF, it's still dead. No commercial plugins, no station ID, and no LDL. You'd think there was no STAR connected!

General Discussion / Re: What do you drive?
« on: March 01, 2010, 09:39:34 AM »
Oh yeah, I no longer drive the Jeep. I got my grandpa's old 2002 Volvo s80 sedan. Boy what a surprise that was! And he got himself a 2009 Infiniti G37. Today I got to drive my mom's 2009 Mini Cooper S. SOOOOOOO MUCH FUN!!!!  B)
My dad has the G35 and I love it! My camry still suits me well though after 123,000 miles, lol.
I got to test drive the Infiniti, and I gotta say, it sure is a heck of a lot fun!  The hardest part about it was figuring out how to turn it on :P My parents and grandparents have, at one point or another, let me test drive their cars. I gotta say though, the mini is my favorite!!

Ok, February is almost over.... any news on this??
You're gonna have to be patient Derek. Bumping this thread several times isn't going to help. The new album is not going to be good anyways because none of the TWC songs Chris is going to put on it are TWC versions. As with the case with Jeanne Ricks' "Simple Pleasure", the songs will be remixed :(
Ummm, you said February.. And it's nearly March. Don't go there..
And no, they're not being remixed. They're being remastered. Which means he's only improving the quality.
Umm I emailed him about this and he said several songs such as Flying West and Above the Clouds would be remixed.
That's not what he told me..

Day 4 of nothing but satellite LFs. I'm loving this narration-less music!  B)
How did you get that lucky to be going this long with no narration in the music?  You better enjoy it while it lasts! :P
lol I know right! Been long overdue for a nice long outage! Still out for me  B)

Not sure about everyone else here, but I have some extremely significant personal issues, so I can't devote as much time as I would like to in the TWC community. And it's important for me to not spread myself too thin over everything for things to get better (my life here, home life - both of them, school life, social life). Sounds weird, but you'd have to understand what I'm going through.. Anyway sorry I can't be as active as I once was... :/
It's okay, Derek.  I just want to make sure everyone here is alright.  I'm sorry to hear that you're undergoing some significant struggles lately, and I hope things improve for you soon.
Thanks for being so understanding, Patrick! B) Some things are improving, but at the same time other things are taking a turn for the worst. I'm happy to say that these newer problems are not nearly as bad as the ones I've been battling for a year or two now.

Why has everyone been so quiet here lately?  I'm aware that it's been a rough week, and I'm hoping that we have some better times ahead.  I really would like to know what's going on around here so that I can help you all.
