OCMs & Personalities / Re: More on Bob Stokes's departure?

LOL. :D Just so everyone knows, a 'swizzle stick' is not what you think (male genetalia). Rather, it is a small stick that people put in cocktails/alcoholic drinks that stir the drink (almost like a coffee stirrer).

Not sure if Bob was implying something else?

I meant it in a sense they still had WC to be four hours, like it was before the dropping of AO.  ;)

Right. But let's say TWC never premiered A&B: there would still be no room for AO if they just had 2PM long-form programming.

Yeah, I saw that. Marshall was on yesterday and Monday, however, Heather has been gone all week. Even Jen Carfagno filled Heather's spot on Monday with Eboni Deon on travel. IIRC, that is the first time in ages that Jen has anchored YWT not assuming the travel analyst position.

YWT used to be real strict on their substitutions. The main subs consisted of Nicole and Bill all the time, due to the unfrequent absences of Marshall and Heather. Nowadays, I've seen Kevin, Nick Walker, and other outsider OCMs fill-in.  :whistling:

That's too bad. I guess stepping down to local affiliates is a big thing nowadays in the national cable TV industry.  There is no doubt, because of this, TWC will be hiring a new personality.

I find it interesting that she is leaving immediately prior to the HD launch. :P

I didn't know Dao left either; is there a link to where that is discussed?  :whistling:

After watching EEWC last night for the first time in nearly 2 years, I am quite suprised in how personable and laid-back Rich has become. His personality has taken a fantastic turnaround since the time of the Weather Center and mid-afternoon days.    :shades:

Thanks Mike!  :sunglasses:

That schedule looks interesting. I wish they'd do something with the weekday midday programming. Mid-afternoon 'long-form' programming is rediculous. Also, IMO, should trim down the mid-morning shows. If I were in charge, I'd totally do this:

FO 5-7
YWT 7-9
DP 9-11
WC 11-2 (First hour -- full controlled).

Moreover, It's becoming extremely obvious to me that TWC dropped AO for two reasons: to make room for A&B AND more importantly to make room for 2PM ET long-form programming.  <_< :hmm:

So far, I've seen Kim Perez, Nick Walker, Heather Tesch, Dave, Adam, Cheryl, Eboni, Alexandra, Abrams & Bettes, Alex Wallace, Paul and countless others do the Weather.com forecasts over the past month or so. I think that the weather.com forecasts are now done by any OCM who is in-house when they are needed, unlike last year when they were actually done by a sole OCM whose perm job was to do the forecast  (i.e. Alex Wallace, Sarah Libby).  :whistling:

Could someone copy and paste it onto here or put it into a Word document? My computer locks up everytime I try to view a .PDF :(

So; I'm sorry I started a fight in my previous thread (that is now consequently locked)  :P I definately didn't mean to! And thanks to everyone who welcomed me. It's great to see you all here; Gary, Kyle(s), Mike, Derek, Stephen, Spring Rubber, and all! :D

Forgive me, dear admin.

Anyhow, whose on Spring break this week?  :twothumbs:  :thrilled: I am!! Anyone else?

Interesting. Those custom openers seem to have replaced the regionals as well; this morning on Day Planner (yes I watched it; I'm on spring break, wooo!) they used the custom openers as regionals, using all of the normal intros (S, NE, MW, W).

Each show has it's own custom opener, AFAIK. DP, WC, and WV have similar ones, IIRC. I have never seen FO's.  :whistling:
