TWC just ran a promo for Weather.com before the LOT8's. That's the first time I've noticed a promo for Weather.com since they basically stopped promoting the weather.com on TV.

They also are preempting taped programming for severe storms in Florida.

It's a shame TWC would rather produce reality shows that have little or nothing to do about weather instead of producing new episodes of shows they already broadcast that are about weather.

When was the last time a new episode of "Storm Stories" was broadcast?

We are in the minority that still go to the weather channel for weather and weather related programming and are not going to give any time to these bad reality shows like "Iceberg Hunters" and "Reef Wranglers".

Just a note that TWC did 3 days of extended live weather coverage which went started Monday going 4am-2am and they were live 4am Tuesday to 11pm Thursday. Today they are staying live 4am to at least 8pm.

Agree to disagree I suppose. I still think the LDA is a terrible idea and CNBC just made the perfect case for it.That's 100x worse than the LDA TWC had. Where do you even begin to focus your eyes at what information?

I agree and don't like the CNBC setup during live programming.
It would be a mistake for TWC to go back to 4:3 video so they can have weather information on the side of the screen.
What they need to do is format the maps and graphics for 16:9 and letterbox programming on the SD channel.

Checking the songs today there's not much to post since it's still mostly the old March playlist with a couple songs added the last week of March and the first week of April.
Is this going to be the regular format where they keep most songs from the previous months playlist and only add a few songs the next month?
Also I'm noticing newly added songs are playing all day.

There was a playlist change at 5pm with new and dfferent songs added. 
At 6pm and 7pm it's back to songs from the March Playlist and the 4 songs added last week.

An interesting note from the TWC Upfront today,
"Aside from the programming, the biggest change viewers will see is the graphics packages, which are being redesigned to be consistent across all of the Weather Company platforms, including Weather.com and the Weather app. The new TV graphics bear a striking resemblance to the graphics found on the website and app. Local weather and information will always be on-screen, at least in the morning, when so many viewers tune in to the channel."

At 5:28pm After 10 seconds of no music a live version of "Every Breath You Take" started to play.
Is the song part of the coming April Playlist or was it just a glitch?

There was an odd glitch at 10pm. The screen was stuck on a sponsored by graphic then went to the emergency off the air feed then back to the sponsored by graphic before going to Weather Center Live.
The national LDL was not working on the HD and SD feeds for the first segment and is back for 10:10pm.
