Reactions from the 9am hour of the first show,
The promo for AMHQ says "Not just a morning forecast, a morning show." There's your problem summed up.
TWC needs a weather show with forecasts not a broadcast network style morning show.

If the idea is to be a copy of the Today Show then that explains the 9am hour having the least amount of forecast segments than any other live show on TWC.

Yeah the show has only had one broadcast so I'll check out the whole show today for much weather day do in the 7am and 8am hours.

Checking out day two the 7am and 8am hours do have more weather content.
The 9am had 2 blocks with no forecast segments. That has to change.
I still don't believe they need a news and sports anchor. The quick news update from MSNBC was good enough.

For all the complaints about WUWA they do more weather on that show then AMHQ.

I can understand why people are complaining.  They have made this to much of a news style AM show than a weather show.
There is no need for a news anchor in studio. In the 9am hour the B, D & E blocks had no forecast segments.
It's the Weather Channel and the show needs to be much more about Weather as less like GMA or Today.
Also in the 9am hour Mike and Sam did the forecast segments while Maria just sat in her chair with everyone else.

WCL is not back in the main studio today. They are still using the smaller 1C.
Kelly Cass said it might a few weeks before WCL is back in the main studio.

The LOT8s is using a St. Patrick's Day theme. Instead of the Welcome, the national LF started with the phrase "It's quite easy being green.".

The AMHQ set is in the back left corner opposite the main desk.  I believe that is where the green screen used to be and it appears they moved the green screen to the side wall.

They did move the green screen to empty wall that is to the left of the AM show desk.

It's probably just incorrect guide data. Titan says WCL 4:30am-7am.

TWC is doing the same thing today. Live 4:30am-2pm then taped programming and back live at 4pm.

That was not worded the best by Champion.  TWC is not adding news or sports shows.
They are adding news and sports reports to AMHQ.

When the remodeled studio was first shown it appeared to me as if they only were using half of it and the rest of it could be turned into useable studio space and the new AM show was a reason for them to do that.

More non weather related reality shows are coming to TWC.
"Four new series are being scheduled by the Weather Channel: “Catching Hell,” about commercial spearfishers; “Now What?” about people’s behavior during weather emergencies; “Tornado Alley”; and “Wicked in the Weather,” about meteorological legends like “a bad moon rising.” Four series are being renewed, including “Strangest Weather on Earth” and “Why Planes Crash.”

Commercial spearfishers? Give me a break! I'm sure this show has as much to do about weather as Reel Rivals.

Al announced Monday that on March 17th when the new AM show launches Jen Carfagno and Reynolds Wolf are going to become full time OCMs for Wake Up With Al.

At 4pm TWC is using a remodeled studio made to appear like the HD studio.
It has the same wood walls and a smaller LCD wall behind the desk.
Anyone know if this is 1C or is that being remodeled for AMHQ?

My guess is Sam is going to more of an anchor for the show and doing the interviews while Maria and Sam do the forecast segments.
