TWC used the alternate feed for live weather coverage on the 14th.

I'd agree the TWC concession of adding more weather news was already done by adding WCL back 2pm-5pm.
This means the schedule is going to stay live programming 4am-8pm and long form 8pm-4am.
16 hours live 8 hours non live.
There was no mention of weekends where TWC has no live shows 2pm to 4am.

Actually I don't get why they don't use the main studio for all WCL shifts.
They have between 5:30am-7am to have the main studio ready for AMHQ and 10am-11am to be ready for the 11am WCL.

They could use 1C for the live segments while they rest the cams for WCL.

Does TWC stop using those jokes and comments on the IS and IS2 local forecast intro page during severe weather or just stop them in the areas effected?

Though I'm not in a severe weather area I am still getting those comments on my IS.
They should really turn them off during severe weather coverage.

Updating the studio use,
WCL 4am-5:30am was in 1C.
Alex used the main studio for the 7 Day Forecast during WUWA.
WCL 11am-3pm was in 1C.
WCL 3pm-7pm is in the main studio.

I was just going to ask if they did go live. Noticed the TWC alerts on Twitter at 8:30pm and when I checked TWC Prospectors was on. It appears they went live again at 9:30pm ET

Glad other shows are returning to the main studio. At 11am they were in the smaller studio C1.

TWC is live at 2pm ET for storm coverage and the video is full screen.

TWC did not need a version of the Today Show. The sports and entertainment segments have to go. More weather.

I still find it funny TWC remodeled the HD studio and since the additional remodel and start of AMHQ they are not using it for any other live shows.

You can tell during the Atlanta studio segments during Wake Up With Al that the the desk and table they had in the HD studio are not there.

Kelly said it would be a few weeks before WCL is back in the studio.
Now sure why it has to take so long.

They must be responding to the complaints about wanting more forecast segments.
The 9am hour today had more forecast segments and the 7 day forecast.

The only blocks without forecast segments were b that had a report on the Colorado River then entertainment junk and the last block which was about parachute jumping and the U.S. Special Ops.

It's ironic people complained when Al Roker came over to do a show that it would less about weather when his show does more weather segments than AMHQ does. Besides an occational non weather related guest there are no sports or entertainment segments on Wake Up With Al.

TWC made the mistake of turning their weather show into a morning show with a cast of to many people.
We don't need news, sports and entertainment segments on The Weather Channel.
I'd expect changes to make the show more about weather if people continue to go elsewhere when AMHQ is on.
If TWC is paying attention to social media people keep saying the want more weather on AMHQ,
