Xfinity Massachusetts went all digital today (all analog and basic cable removed), i bet even with the new bandwidth avaliable we won't see the IntelliStar 2 anytime soon

Again like last week there are almost no forecast segments.
No Weekend, 7 Day, or 60: Second Forecast.
The green screen is not being used.
I just don't like this new format for WCL.
The only WCL with actually forecast segments and use of the green screen is the 1am edition.
Basically like a news station that doesn't cover sports or weather

if it's a bandwidth issue Massachusetts is going all digital cutting all analog cable on April 10th and the final phase in mid May so after both cuts there shouldn't be an excuse as to why the IS2 isn't in the state.

they're not really crap you just might have to get used to the new "realistic" cheeseballs
and with TWC modernizing their image i won't be surprised if they use them on air in the near future.

Probably not for awhile since the last update there were compatibility problems between TWC and Comcast which is preventing areas from getting the IS2.

« on: March 29, 2012, 03:23:46 PM »Last Tuesday, new weather icons debuted on weather.com, but the weather icons still use the 2010-Present ones during Live Programming and the SD IntelliStar.
For now i was told they are Web/Mobile Only until otherwise noted.

We do want the icons to be similar across all our platforms, but the process of updating icons on certain STAR computers (ie. older versions would not support new graphics, etc) would not make it possible.
