The squeezeback segment did not cue at 3:48PM PT, so the emergency feed was cued instead. Also, the EF now seems to have updated graphics
Note: Sorry about the crappy quality as I took it with my phone.
That segment was rather broad-brushed. They left out the most important ingredient of all in determining tropical activity, which is wind shear. Furthermore, El Niņo and La Niņa do way more than just change the winds aloft in the tropics. They change the entire jet stream patterns, the positions of troughs and ridges aloft, and can even affect the warm and cold ocean currents throughout the world. However, there is way more to the story than just those simple factors presented in that segment to determine tropical activity, which is why I do not support trying to predict how an overall season will go months before it even happens.

During Day Planner the North East graphic made a rare appearanceDid it use the sound effect too?
I understand why they are doing it's just the way it's presented on screen is totally obnoxious.
There's no reason they need to have a giant animated lower third graphic on screen during forecast segments promoting a twitter hashtag.
The graphic is to tall and blocks the intensity chart on the bottom of maps.
Plus they already have the #tornadoweek hashtag in the box on the left side of the LDL.
