Everything Else TWC / Re: General TWC Discussion

The dual feed has not returned yet.

April 3, 2013
ONLY NATIONAL. LOCAL.COVERAGE.
Clark announced that The Weather Channel network will soon be able to present severe weather coverage in affected markets only, allowing viewers in unaffected markets to remain viewing regularly scheduled programming.

But ask anyone who watches TWC for weather they rather watch the coverage even if they don't live in those affected areas. Long form is killing the network i just don't see how TWC doesn't realize that if something isn't broken don't fix it.

TWC goes live again at 9pm ET long after the tornadoes touched down at 8:28pm ET.

Too little too late IMO, i just don't get how peoples lives are at risk and the programming team decides to put on longform programming. I've been watching TWC for almost 20 years and this example had to be the lowest of the low.

TWC goes to an old tornado special instead of covering tornadoes at 8pm when their are confirmed tornadoes on the ground in KS. Shame on you TWC!

I guess Sunday's All Day Coverage is more important than the current tornadoes on the ground tonight  :pinch:

I got an email message from Aaron recently and he said that Zoomshare (the website's host provider) was getting rid of the free service and charge users $6.95 a month. Since I've submitted most units to his website, he offered me to maintain the database via a different free website host provider, which I accepted almost immediately. Here is the new version of the database that I've put together using the submissions that I've backed up from Aaron's site a while back:

http://weatherstardatabase.yolasite.com/

My site's pretty much the same as the original, but this one now includes info for 4000, XL, IS2 and Weatherscan units. I'm still working on the site at the moment, but I figured I'd post the link to show you guys what I've worked on so far.

Hey Jim, just wanted to let you know that #22622 isn't New Bedford, RI its actually New Bedford, MA

just wanted to point that out and here's a video

A friend of mine in Framingham got this reply from TWC when asking about seeing Wellesley, MA's Metro Conditions on the Locals.

Hi TWC Feedback, are there any plans to bring back the Metro Conditions page in place of the Current Conditions page on the IntelliStar? the reason i ask is i cannot see my area Wellesley's conditions on the IntelliStar Local On The 8s and instead i always see Boston Int'l Airports conditions.

Please fix this soon i want to be able to see my area's forecast again.

This is the result of TWC dropping down to 60 second locals. I have passed on your comment to my boss. Hopefully, they review this issue. I know we have a lot of changes for local all the time coming in the fall, so I hope this gets addressed by then if not sooner. There is a lot of developmental work which is why it will take that many months.

Schedule Change? I new so I'm just curious. What schedule change? :blushing:

Anyone know why TWC is doing no live shows from 5pm to 4am?

Weird thing is my Xfinity guide didn't show the changes

Surprised yours didn't show it, mine did. There was no WCL on my programming guide when I checked it last night after seeing that thread.

EDIT: Checked it again, it has WCL back on there again.

My brother informed me when i was at work the guide said the same as you posted tavores, the last time i saw the guide was 8am yesterday morning and i didn't see any longform

With the new schedule change showing up today i wouldn't be surprised if the new graphics come out in the next 1-4 weeks.

Everything Else Classic TWC / Re: Late 80s station ID, unknown song
« on: May 11, 2013, 08:06:58 AM »
I tried getting a song ID from Shazam, Soundhound (midomi), and Tunatic and had no luck.

did you try uploading it on youtube? sometimes a copyright tag would come up displaying the Song ID after the video is uploaded.

Local Forecast / Re: May 2013 Playlist
« on: May 10, 2013, 08:06:55 PM »
They are adding more songs to the playlist.

"The Long Run" by The Eagles 6:48pm.
"Annie Waits" by Ben Folds 6:58pm.

I'll take a check later for any other adds and post them.

they must be adding random songs from a music website. the thing that doesn't make sense is wouldn't artists have a problem for not being notified their music is airing on TWC?
