Weatherscan Discussion / Re: What exactly is weatherscan?
« on: July 29, 2013, 08:28:37 AM »
So I'm confused about weatherscan, what exactly is it? As far as I can tell it's the same as WxStar and IntelliStar. Is there a difference?

I'm rather new to weatherscan and so I don't really understand why TWC still use it instead of the other systems.

Boyercam

It's a separate Intellistar based totally on different graphics and segments which is why it doesn't look like the current SD IntelliStar or Satellite forecast viewers see daily on their local TWC Feed.  It is available to certain cable companies as far as i know.

They show segments like Garden, Ski, Health, and more local conditions than the current Intellistar and WeatherStar XL since TWC shortened the locals to 60 seconds.

Here's a video of my local WeatherScan from Brockton, MA Xfinity Headend

is there a chance the dry air ahead of soon to be Dorian would move out of the way? if so i wonder how strong Dorian would get.

Any other instrumentals?

Hi all! I just got word that "February (Mid Winter Nigh Mix) will be playing soon. Sounds like Brian is getting more time to spend on Local Forecast music. Glad to see he still considers me. Thanks for the support!

Awesome news Matt! thanks for sharing hopefully i can catch a clip of it soon.

Hopefully this means Brian is going to bring instrumental music back in the near future and ditch the vocals one can dream  :innocent:

Pretty sure I just heard Ryan Farish - Neon Stars at 3:28AM CT. It may not have been Neon Stars, but it was one of RF's newer songs.

I thought you did, when you updated the music pages about two years ago. Did Martin revoke your access?

he didn't revoke my access I only have access to the Music Database to upload mp3s and the Playlist Files, the Music Page itself is controlled by Martin. since there ien't any way to update the pages on my end the youtube solution seems appropriate.
Oh, then why is there an exclamation point next to Holiday 2010?

I didn't add the ! in

If you upload a video and it gets tagged, there's nothing you can do about it. And if you get tagged enough, your account is deleted. Right?

If your video gets tagged by a copyright holder you can delete the video which is possibly the easiest thing to do to avoid a copyright strike, Adrev, CDBaby, are fine because they only use the tags as traffic towards their sites, but some like WMG, Warner Chappel, EMI, and UMG are bad because tags from those holders do lead to strikes which are different. i'm most likely going to pitch the audio to my clips since youtube usually doesn't recognize pitched video clips.
