Why has everyone been so quiet here lately? I'm aware that it's been a rough week, and I'm hoping that we have some better times ahead. I really would like to know what's going on around here so that I can help you all.
Not sure about everyone else here, but I have some extremely significant personal issues, so I can't devote as much time as I would like to in the TWC community. And it's important for me to not spread myself too thin over everything for things to get better (my life here, home life - both of them, school life, social life). Sounds weird, but you'd have to understand what I'm going through.. Anyway sorry I can't be as active as I once was... :/

I hope my cable company is stupid enough to refer to Weatherscan as "The Weather Channel" because the line-up I saw, said that and the Lineup goes into effect in June, the end of our cable's transition from analog to digital. while it referred to a local 24/7 weather sub-channel as "WTVQ wx scan" It worries me a little...Hope its just a mistake. Curious is WTVQ an NBC affiliate?
It does sound possible that you might need a faster processor, but I still find it odd that it's a brand new laptop and you're having this much trouble.
The fact that it's a single core processor of only 1.6 GHz, that may be the reason. There's plenty of RAM in there (my desktop with only 2 GB handles the tuner well). How old is your Acer?
I will look in to the site designer star color. I swapped the two out of boredom tbh... I'm trying to think of another color instead of lime as it's hard to see. These issues will be fixed by the weekend at the latestm
Alex, can you provide other specs about your computer such as the RAM? It sounds like it's using up too much memory.
Try using Windows Media Center. Works so much better than WinTV - I'm currently using a Hauppauge card in 7 Media Center with absolutely zero problems.
There is a sense of immaturity here, and it's uncalled for. It's Martin's site, and he can do what he wants, and use who he wants as an admin. If you don't like it, lump it! Arguing and bickering gets you nowhere.

I know that's why I'm not bashing anyone for no reason. I also agree it's cruel but if you look at the stats, does it really make sense to keep an admin who hasn't been online for months when you have regular members/staff who visit here at least a couple times a week?
