Under increasing pressure from copyright holders in the music, film and TV industries, YouTube has introduced its Copyright School in the US. Now anyone posting content that breaks copyright will have to watch an education video and pass a quiz to be allowed to post video files again.

The video features cartoon characters Happy Tree Friends and a slightly tongue-in-cheek voiceover that warns users their account will be terminated if they infringe copyright. It also explains how fair use applies in the US as well as what content users can and cannot upload.

YouTube is now imposing a 'three strikes' policy when receiving copyright complaints. Users can erase strikes against their account by complying with YouTube's terms.

Glad i'm pitching my uploads from now on so i don't have to go through that BS.

See attached.  I downloaded this song a long time ago and haven't gotten it IDd, and now I have no clue what it is.  The filename I have it saved as is nd.mp3, just like the attached.

There just isn't a market for another TWC. Cable viewers are going down.  Cable networks (especially news and information networks) are struggling to keep viewer rates as it is. I really don't know many people who watch TWC anymore. It's all about mobile and internet distribution. No cable only company will successfully compete with TWC. It's just a sad fact.

It's a sad fact now, but the future could be different we will just have to wait and see how WN plays into the numbers.

I just hope you and the others who love the music don't bombard TWC with too many emails about when the next playlist is coming out every time as they could get annoyed and stop responding altogether.

uh, i was just asking so other members knew about this and i don't bombard them with playlist emails because i stopped in 2009

With how successful of a network TWC is, why would Comcast want to give it competition? And why would Comcast want to fork out money to acquire rights to WeatherNation? They would make little, if any money off of it.

Comcast wants competition because it would help bring in subscribers (don't you already hear that often?) plus it's not successful in a subscriber standpoint only in business, and Comcast would jump on this ball just like any of these cable companies who want to drag in subscribers and that's a fact.

*Please note i'm not starting any fights, i'm just saying that Comcast would do anything to drag in Subscriptions, even if its a new Weather Channel*

Looks like TWC's signal is failing due to the storms moving into Atlanta.

was is the LDL failing too or just the video feed?
