As someone who actually participated in this show, I can say you are being critical of something you don't even know about. Sure the name is something to be considered, but the fact is, the name did exactly what it was intended to do, get your attention and get you to talk about it (and show up in Google search to help rank the show up).

Since I'm not yet allowed to speak about the show format or what it entails, all I can say is this series rivals anything in the "survival" genre on any network. You can choose to accept that or not, really doesn't matter to me at all. Now you might not like long form programming on TWC and for that I cannot argue, since it really is just a personal preference and doesn't have direct effect on anyone else.

I didn't mean for it to seem like a jab since i used to be overweight myself. don't get me wrong i like some longform but i didn't think TWC would put on a survival show.

I noticed that my Xfinity headend now shows the HD feed letterboxed on the SD channel. I don't know when they made the change.

My HD headend hasn't done that yet, my guess TWC/Xfinity just started doing that in some areas and will slowly switch it in the next few months.
