The reason there is so much speculation is because there hasn't been an update yet on the rollout progress. especially on the Xfinity and Fios sides of the ball.

(Boston transitioned in December 2006)
Call your cable/satellite provider and ask them to upgrade and buy the new box. Only then will you see the new intellistar2 HD graphics.
Comcast New England maybe doesn't have any clearance to purchase it yet because last i heard from them the IS2 was still being tested in their labs, i guess that means at least my state (Massachusetts) won't see the IS2 anytime soon.
