It has nothing to do with HD.“This year's hurricane season is different because after June 12th you will not be able to use rabbit ears for your regular TV or portable analog TV in the event you lose your cable or satellite service. How will you get the life saving information you will need during a storm?”Because the FCC thinks HD is more important then having a simple, affordable setup. In my honest opinion, I think we can live without HD. If we lived through television in the 1990's before HD, then we can today. Many people can't afford to pay big bucks on digital cable because all of the channels were removed from basic cable/over the air TV.

Tell me, why are they doing this DTV switch again? To me it sounds like a big scam to stimulate the economy. I mean, I am all for stimulating the economy, but putting peoples lives in danger? How low can the idiots in Washington go?
^ This. At least, the first part.Gee, thanks for the negative feedback.Take criticism better, and also learn how to do things the right way. That is, not going around from place to place begging for subscriptions and friend invites. Then maybe people wouldn't hate you. Tell me, what do you plan to do when you get older?
IE6 sucks.A helluva lot better than 7, IMO.
I never use those.I don't give out my screenames to anyone, unless it's someone I've known for a long time.Yet, they're in your profile
I'm not talking traffic, just how everything is configured.OK, here's a picture of the traffic light from my area.Ah yes, Texas. I was there last August. They have the worst transportation set-up I've ever seen. And I've been to a lot of states!
How so? I'll admit that some of the roads here are frequently jammed, but I didn't think Texas had the worst transportation set-up.
Someone please tell me..how rock from the 60s and 70s is supposed to appeal a youngerBecause aside from Pop music, Classic rock is probably the next most-popular genre among people today.
audience versus smooth jazz from the 2000s?
On MY part? I don't think you've read through the forums much lately. I am clearly not the only one who has come to that "premature conclusion"So just because more than one person says the same thing, that makes it true?

There is no indication that they are definitively choosing Rock as their genre.I do wonder though, where you guys got the notion that they're gonna use rock music. I didn't read that part in the memo Jeanne posted...Well Gary, they are. Just look at the June playlist- There are far more songs of the Rock genre than of jazz or most anything else.
Trammell is signed with a record company? I thought he's an independent artist. He does production music. The TWC set was production music.
I hate my job, but i am VERY thankful that I have it, and get paid pretty well. I'll be there 2 years in August. I am coming up with a "letter" to email a local news station to see if there is anything an almost 18 year old with a high school diploma can do behind the scenes, just to get my foot in the door for later in life. I think that these days in order to get a job, you have to know someone who knows someone..you know what I mean?IMO, snail-mailing a letter is better than emailing one. It looks more professional.
